7 months agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Spencer Turnbull has won a spot on the Opening Day roster, according to a source. Turnbull benefits from Michael Fulmer undergoing Tommy John surgery and missing all of 2019. The 26-year-old right-hander had a 1.80 ERA with 15 strikeouts and two walks in 15 innings this spring, but he posted a 6.06 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 8.3 K/9 in 16 1/3 innings in 2018. Turnbull doesn't have much fantasy appeal and isn't a guarantee to stick in the rotation for long.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
