Russell Wilson Making The Tough Throws
4 years agoSeattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson leads the NFL with a +6.7 percent completion percentage over expectation (CPOE), which is a way to measure a quarterback's performance relative to the difficulty of his passes. Wilson has ranked among the best in CPOE in each of the last three seasons -- third in 2017, second in 2018 and fourth last year. Bengals rookie Joe Burrow comes in at second at +5.7 percent. Chargers rookie Justin Herbert and Cardinals second-year signal-caller Kyler Murray are tied for third at +4.4 percent, while Panthers quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is fourth at +4.1 percent. Wilson is the MVP front-runner through nine weeks of the season and should be started by his fantasy managers, without question, each week.
