Royce Lewis Starting At Third Base In Game 3
1 year agoMinnesota Twins infielder Royce Lewis (hamstring) is making his first start at third base in the postseason in Game 3 of the American League Division Series on Tuesday against the Houston Astros and right-hander Cristian Javier. Lewis is hitting cleanup for the Twins. The 24-year-old strained his left hamstring on Sept. 19 and took some time off to close out the regular season before returning to designated hitter duties for the wild-card series and the first two games of the ALDS over the weekend. The hamstring injury hasn't been a problem for him at all at the plate so far, as he's gone 4-for-15 with three home runs, four RBI and five runs scored in his first four postseason contests. Edouard Julien is the DH and batting leadoff, while Jorge Polanco mans the keystone and hits in the two-hole for the Twins on Tuesday.
