Rob Gronkowski Won't Play Against Dolphins
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said that tight end Rob Gronkowski (lung, ribs) will not play in Week 5 against the Miami Dolphins. However, outside linebacker Jason Pierre-Paul (hand, shoulder) and cornerback Jamel Dean (knee) will be active. Gronk will miss his second straight game after suffering some cracked ribs and a punctured lung in the Week 3 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. There is optimism he'll be able to return in Week 6 on Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagles. Cameron Brate wasn't able to capitalize with Gronkowski out last week, hauling in just two of six targets for 29 yards. He'll have a better matchup against the Dolphins, though, and will serve as a touchdown-dependent TE2 with upside.
