Ravens Not Happy About Gus Edwards' Snap Count
2 years agoBaltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh didn't like the fact that running back Gus Edwards only played nine offensive snaps in the Week 17 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night after going for 99 yards in Week 16 against the Atlanta Falcons. Edwards carried the ball only three times for two yards, while J.K. Dobbins played 26 snaps and carried the ball 17 times for 93 rushing yards. "I wasn't happy about that, in all honesty," Harbaugh said. "Gus should have played more – there's no doubt about it. That was something that … We should have had him out there more, and [there's] really no excuse for that." If the Ravens end up resting some players in Week 18 against the Cincinnati Bengals, Edwards could see a sizeable role as the team's lead back as they look to get him more work before the playoffs.
