Ravens Defense Still Fighting Through Injuries
4 years agoBaltimore Ravens defensive end Calais Campbell (calf) and cornerbacks Marcus Peters (calf) and Jimmy Smith (ribs, shoulder) did not practice on Wednesday. Campbell returned from the COVID-19 list to play in Week 13 against the Cowboys, but he's been dealing with this calf injury since Week 9 against the Colts. He doesn't have a sack since Week 6 and played just 40 percent of the defensive snaps in the Week 14 win over the Browns. Avoid him in IDP leagues until he proves he's past his injury. Peters ranks as the 20th defensive back in terms of fantasy points in 2020, so losing him and/or Smith in Week 15 against the Jaguars would certainly make Baltimore's secondary a little more vulnerable. Despite the Ravens being beat up on defense, they're a top-five fantasy play this Sunday against the one-win Jaguars and quarterback Gardner Minshew II, who is returning to the starting role.
