Paxton Lynch, Chad Kelly To Fight For Backup Gig
7 years agoWith the Denver Broncos choosing not to draft a quarterback this year, it shows that they haven't given up on quarterback Paxton Lynch, who was a first-round pick in 2016. “We are not kicking him to the curb,’’ general manager John Elway said. “He can still develop. When we drafted him two years ago, as I said, we knew it was going to take some time." The team signed Case Keenum to be the starter in 2018, but Lynch and Chad Kelly will battle for the backup job in training camp. While it's looking less likely that Lynch is Denver's QB of the future, they haven't completely bailed on him. However, Lynch is no longer a must-hold in dynasty/keeper leagues.
