4 weeks agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed was a sizable part of the Packers' 34-0 rout over the New Orleans Saints in Week 16. Reed caught 3-of-4 targets for 76 yards on the evening, including a 37-yard strike early in the fourth quarter and then a 34-yard catch that boosted Reed's night later in the fourth quarter from backup quarterback Malik Willis. Also adding a rushing attempt for five-yard rush, Reed was a big factor for the Packers, but ultimately, the huge lead curbed a lot of the passing work in the second half. With the Packers heading to Minnesota for a divisional showdown against the Vikings in Week 17, Reed is a low-end flex option for fantasy managers due to his boom-or-bust nature over the second half of the season.Source: ESPN
4 weeks agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks caught his first touchdown since Week 7 in the Packers' 34-0 blanking of the New Orleans Saints in Week 16. Wicks kicked off the proceedings with a two-yard score from quarterback Jordan Love and ended up as the target leader for the Packers with seven. Catching 3-of-7 targets for just 13 yards, Wicks was inefficient but still was targeted heavily in comparison to the rest of the pass-catchers for the Packers. On deck for the Packers is a date with a divisional foe in the 13-2 Minnesota Vikings, where Wicks will be a flex option if Christian Watson misses that game as he left Week 16 with a knee injury.Source: ESPN
4 weeks agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft was plenty involved in the Packers' victory over the New Orleans Saints by a score of 34-0 in Week 16. Kraft caught three of four targets for 63 yards, highlighted by a 30-yard catch in the second quarter to get the ball deep into Saints' territory, which set up the Packers' third touchdown of evening. Kraft's 63 yards and four targets were second on the team for the evening, and he also chipped in with a direct snap that went for two yards rushing. With Kraft as involved in the offense as he is, he's become a solid low-end TE1 for fantasy managers this season. He'll remain in the starting conversation for Week 17, as well, when the Packers head to Minnesota to take on the Vikings in a divisional showdown.Source: ESPN
4 weeks agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (knee) had an eventful Week 16 as the Packers steamrolled the New Orleans Saints 34-0 in Week 16. Watson only recorded one target and did not record a reception in the game. After a 14-yard rush by Watson to help set up a Chris Brooks one-yard touchdown in the second quarter, Watson hurt his knee and went into the blue tent to get it checked out by medical staff. Watson was considered questionable to return, but he did not return to the game. Watson also added a nine-yard rush for his final stat line of 23 yards rushing on the evening. The Packers will face division-rival Minnesota in Week 17, where if Watson is available for fantasy managers, he will be a boom-or-bust flex option.Source: ESPN
4 weeks agoGreen Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs kept his touchdown streak intact with a second-quarter touchdown as the Packers routed the New Orleans Saints 34-0 in Week 16. Jacobs scored on a two-yard touchdown at the beginning of the second quarter, making that the sixth consecutive game that Jacobs has scored a touchdown. With an economical 69 yards on 13 carries, Jacobs was efficient on the ground while also catching a perfect 4-of-4 targets for 38 yards on the evening. Bowing out a bit early was Jacobs as with a massive lead and the Packers well on their way to a win, he gave way for the backups later in the second half. With a divisional matchup set for Sunday afternoon when the Packers face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17, Jacobs is a locked-in RB1 for fantasy managers.Source: ESPN
4 weeks agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love was quiet and didn't have to do a lot of heavy lifting as the Packers blanked the New Orleans Saints 34-0 in Week 16. Love was 16-of-28 passing for 182 yards and one touchdown; a two-yard strike to Dontayvion Wicks to kick off the scoring for the Packers in the first quarter. Love also added two yards rushing in the win. With the run game a massive part of the production for the Packers against the undermanned Saints, Love didn't have to expend a lot of energy in this game as he bowed out in the fourth quarter for Malik Willis to finish out the game. In Week 17, the Packers will head to U.S. Bank Stadium to face the Minnesota Vikings, where Love will be a low-end QB1 for fantasy managers.Source: ESPN
4 weeks agoThe Green Bay Packers defense and special teams unit was dominant in their Week 16 home win over the New Orleans Saints. The Saints were outmatched from the opening kick as the Packers held the Saints to 220 yards of total offense. The Packers sacked Spencer Rattler three times while also forcing a fumble and interception as Green Bay is the first team to hold an opponent scoreless this season. The Packers will head west to the neighboring state of Minnesota for a late afternoon date with the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17. For fantasy managers, the Packers D/ST will be a borderline startable unit in that matchup based on how well the Packers have played on defense as of late.Source: ESPN
4 weeks agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (knee) is considered questionable to return to Monday night's game against the visiting New Orleans Saints at Lambeau Field due to a knee injury. Watson initially got up slowly after a 14-yard rushing attempt in the second quarter but eventually returned to the game in the first half. The 25-year-old was then being stretched out on the sidelines in the second half and is now questionable to return. The Packers are up big 24-0 with the Saints not mounting much of a challenge, so we'd be surprised if the team brings the receiver back into this contest. Before Watson was listed as questionable, he had 23 yards on two rushing attempts and didn't catch his only target. On a short turnaround in Week 17 against the division-rival Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Dec. 29, Watson could have a tough time playing, depending on the severity of his knee injury.Source: Green Bay Packers
4 weeks agoGreen Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee) will be inactive again on Monday Night Football against the New Orleans Saints, according to a source. The 27-year-old Pro Bowl cornerback was able to practice in full all of last week, but the Packers are being cautious with the veteran defensive back, and he'll end up missing his fifth straight game. Hopefully, Alexander will be available for a big divisional matchup on Sunday, Dec. 29, in Week 17 against the Minnesota Vikings at home. With Alexander out yet again, Keisean Nixon, Carrington Valentine and Eric Stokes will remain the team's corners in an excellent matchup against a Saints offense with very little experience at the receiver position thanks to injuries. New Orleans will also be starting rookie QB Spencer Rattler, making the Packers' defense/special teams unit in fantasy an attractive streaming option in Week 16.Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler
4 weeks agoThe Green Bay Packers are activating tight end Luke Musgrave (ankle) from Injured Reserve on Monday, and he will play against the New Orleans Saints, according to a source. Musgrave underwent surgery on his ankle in October and hasn't played since Week 3, so the Packers will ease him back in. The 24-year-old caught 34 of his 46 targets for 352 yards and one touchdown in his first 11 NFL games (nine starts) in Green Bay last year. In four games before injuring his ankle this year, Musgrave was barely involved behind Tucker Kraft, catching five of seven targets for 22 yards. He probably won't be all the field that much on Monday night in his first game back after a long layoff, and Musgrave will be a low-upside deep sleeper in DFS formats for the final three games of the regular season and in the playoffs for the Packers.Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero
4 weeks agoGreen Bay Packers kicker Brandon McManus has been perfect on all his kicks over the last four games. It appears that the Packers have finally found a reliable kicking option. Last week, McManus connected on all three of his field goal attempts and all three extra point attempts in the win over the Seattle Seahawks. McManus has been active lately and should continue to see plenty of work with the way this offense is playing right now. They head into a plus-matchup against the New Orleans Saints defense in Week 16. Fantasy managers looking for a streaming option in Week 16 should consider using McManus.Source: ESPN
4 weeks agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 16 against the New Orleans Saints. Musgrave has been out since Week 5 with his injury and could make a return this week. His presence would be less relevant for his fantasy value and more tied to the value of Tucker Kraft. Kraft looks like a great tight-end option this week and Musgrave's return would only cut into his value a little bit this week. If Musgrave is out, Kraft is locked and loaded as the go-to tight end for the Packers and is a great play at the position.Source: Green Bay Packers
4 weeks agoThe Green Bay Packers' defense and special teams' unit looks to build off the momentum of one of their best games of the season as they host the New Orleans Saints in Week 16. The Packers' defense was one of the stars of Green Bay's Week 15 win against the Seattle Seahawks as they tallied seven sacks and two interceptions as a unit. Those seven sacks were the second-highest total the defense has put up all season and now gets a shell of an offense in New Orleans that is starting Spencer Rattler, who is 0-3 as a starter. Combine that with the Saints not having Alvin Kamara available and the Packers D/ST unit looking like one of the best plays for Week 16 for fantasy managers at D/ST.Source: RotoBaller

4 weeks agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson has been the Packers' primary downfield option in recent weeks and looks to break off some long gains as the Packers host the New Orleans Saints in Week 16. Watson's game is well-known at this point for fantasy: break off a long gain or two and hope he gets into the end zone. With two 100-yard games in his past five contests, Watson has been a solid fantasy option. When he hasn't, he's been hard to stomach when in lineups. With Romeo Doubs returning last week from concussion protocol, that adds another weapon and spreads out targets even more for the other remaining pass-catchers like Watson, Jayden Reed, Tucker Kraft, and others. With Watson being a clear boom-or-bust option in fantasy football lineups, he's more of a volatile flex option despite a great matchup against the Saints in Week 16.Source: RotoBaller
