Brandon Aiyuk Could Return in Week 6
Brandon Aiyuk (knee) might return in Week 6. General manager John Lynch already said that he didn't think Aiyuk would be ready for Week 1 of the regular season in early September, but now it looks like the 27-year-old pass-catcher will be out much longer after tearing both his MCL and ACL in his right knee last October. Aiyuk is expected to begin the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list, which will require him to miss at least the first four games. He has not practiced with the team at all this year. Obviously, this is a big hit to Aiyuk's 2025 fantasy value. Aiyuk is stash-worthy in fantasy leagues that have designated Injured Reserve spots. In Aiyuk's absence, both Jauan Jennings (calf) and Ricky Pearsall stand to benefit as key members of the passing attack.Source: The Athletic - Vic Tafur
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan hasn't thought about it much, but said that wide receiver Landon Dickerson Week-to-Week, to Have Minor Knee Surgery
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowl offensive guard Landon Dickerson (knee), who suffered a meniscus injury on Sunday night, will have minor knee surgery in the coming days and is considered week-to-week, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Rapoport adds that the team's goal is to have him available for Week 1 of the regular season on Sept. 4 against the division-rival Dallas Cowboys. It's ultimately positive news for Philly's offensive line, although the 26-year-old may still not be ready for the start of the regular season as the Eagles begin their Super Bowl defense. The Eagles also lost Kenyon Green (shoulder) to an injury during the preseason opener last Thursday against the Cincinnati Bengals, so it's possible that Matt Pryor or rookie Trevor Keegan get pushed into a starting role come Week 1.Jaydon Blue, Miles Sanders Could Play in Second Preseason Game
Jaydon Blue (heel) and Miles Sanders (knee) should see some "significant progress" this week and could play in the team's second preseason game this Saturday versus the Baltimore Ravens. Neither Blue nor Sanders played in the preseason opener on Saturday against the Los Angeles Rams. Blue suffered a bone bruise in his heel in practice last Thursday, while Sanders has been battling a knee injury. Javonte Williams remains the favorite to be the lead back for Dallas early in the 2025 season, but both Sanders and Blue should be involved to an extent as well. Blue, a fifth-rounder in April, has been the most explosive and impressive during training camp, but the 21-year-old will most likely enter the regular season as the team's RB3. Blue is worth an RB4/flex flier late in PPR drafts.Source: Dallas Morning News - Joseph Hoyt
Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Callahan said that running backs Nick Chubb Back at Monday's Practice
Nick Chubb (head) is back at Monday's training camp practice in a red non-contact jersey, according to Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle. Chubb went through the league's concussion protocol after taking a hard hit in practice last Tuesday, but he's apparently cleared the protocols and is back on the field this week. It's possible that the 29-year-old will be active for the team's second preseason game this Saturday against the Carolina Panthers, although the Texans could exercise caution when considering their backfield is already beat up. Starter Joe Mixon (ankle, foot) remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list and could be in danger of missing Week 1. Chubb did not look like a four-time Pro Bowler in his final season with the Browns following a devastating 2023 knee injury. At best, he's a WR4/5 flier for those that roster Mixon.Source: Houston Chronicle - Jonathan M. Alexander
Houston Texans running back Landon Dickerson Believed to be Dealing With Meniscus Injury
Source: Adam Schefter
ESPN's NFL insider Adam Schefter reports that Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Landon Dickerson (knee) is thought to have suffered a meniscus injury to his right knee. Philadelphia is currently looking at other options to determine the severity of the injury and the team's next course of action. Uh oh. The No. 37 overall selection of the 2021 NFL Draft has started 17, 16, and 16 games for the Eagles across the prior three seasons, and is one of just five guards selected to the Pro Bowl in each of those campaigns. Teammate Brett Toth has worked in the 26-year-old's stead this summer when he was a limited participant, so he appears to be the most optimal replacement at this time. We'll likely get an update on him over the coming days, but any time missed by Dickerson would be a massive blow to the Eagles' offensive line.Jalen Coker Becoming a Go-To Option?
Jalen Coker has been "one of the more reliable" targets for quarterback Bryce Young thus far. Specifically, Canales was asked if the second-year wideout is on the roster bubble, to which he replied, "We're gonna play the best guys." Canales added that "if he keeps showing up the way he has, he's going to be on the field playing." The 23-year-old isn't slotted in with the starting group of wide receivers on Carolina's unofficial depth chart, although it's possible that changes. Despite Coker's standing on paper, teammate Adam Thielen is nearing the end of his career, and Xavier Legette still has to show improvement. It isn't unreasonable to think Coker will have an expanded role in 2025, especially after flashing last season. Still, he'll have to leapfrog one of his aforementioned teammates in the hierarchy.Source: Sheena Quick
Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales told reporters on Monday that wide receiver Matthew Golden Showcasing Pass-Catching Chops
Matthew Golden made a few highlight receptions in Monday's practice, catching difficult passes "with ease." The former Texas Longhorn has garnered a good amount of praise during the lead-up to the regular season, and the news of fellow wideout Jayden Reed's (foot) injury makes this wide receiver room that much more up for grabs. The rookie offers Green Bay an explosive, field-flipping element they've desired for some time now. If he can seize his opportunity early on, Golden should be in store for a useful fantasy season. He's going just inside the top 100 currently in drafts, slotted directly in front of Reed at No. 98 in overall ADP. That disparity will grow if the latter's ailment lingers.Source: Andy Herman
Andy Herman of 105.7 The Fan, Milwaukee, notes that Green Bay Packers wide receiver Bhayshul Tuten Running with Starters on Monday
Bhayshul Tuten got "a lot of run" with quarterback Trevor Lawrence and the first-string offense during Monday's practice, according to ESPN Radio's Mia O'Brien. O'Brien also reports that head coach Liam Coen was "very complimentary" of the 23-year-old's running in their preseason loss to the Steelers. Tuten was the third (and final) Jaguars running back to receive a touch in that one, but tied backfield mate Tank Bigsby for the team lead in carries (six), yards (24), and scored their lone rushing touchdown. By the looks of it, Travis Etienne Jr. is still the top dog here, with Tuten and Bigsby vying for touches behind him. However, Bigsby outproduced Etienne Jr. in 2024, and this room feels more open for the taking than initially anticipated. Jacksonville's final two preseason games should shed some more light on how this backfield will operate come the regular season.Source: Mia O'Brien
Jacksonville Jaguars rookie running back Rams Displaying Flexibility with Matthew Stafford's Back Injury
Matthew Stafford (back) did not practice on Monday because he didn't feel well enough leading up to the session. McVay also noted that the team will be "flexible and fluid" with the situation surrounding their franchise cornerstone, erring on the side of caution instead of rushing him back. It's a concerning development, but it's the correct play for LA if Stafford isn't fully healthy. The 37-year-old should be ready to go come the start of the regular season. However, for the time being, fantasy managers should be vigilant in considering which draft slot they select Rams' skill players. Any missed time by Stafford would dent the value of running back Kyren Williams and wide receivers Davante Adams and Puka Nacua.Source: Stu Jackson

Marquise Brown "Making Great Progress"
Marquise Brown (ankle) is still recovering from his left ankld and foot injuries. "He's making great progress," Reid said of Brown. "He's running now." Brown isn't dealing with a high-ankle sprain and is making progress, but he has yet to return to training camp practice with the rest of the team, and it remains to be seen if he'll be cleared to play in the team's second preseason contest this Friday against the Seattle Seahawks. The 28-year-old's status for the start of the 2025 regular season bears watching even more closely with Rashee Rice potentially being suspended for four to six games to begin the year. Brown played in only two regular-season games in 2024 due to a shoulder injury, but he could be the WR2 next to Xavier Worthy in Week 1 if Rice is suspended.Source: The Athletic - Nate Taylor
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said that wide receiver DeMario Douglas Heavily Targeted on Monday
Drake Maye has gone to wide receiver DeMario Douglas "a ton," according to Taylor Kyles. Douglas is on the rise on fantasy draft boards this year as one of the most productive and consistent wideouts for the Patriots during training camp. The 24-year-old slot receiver could flourish in offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels' system after he caught 66 of his 87 targets for 621 yards and three touchdowns in 17 games a year ago. The Patriots also have Stefon Diggs coming back from a torn ACL last year in Houston. If healthy, Diggs will be the team's WR1, but it doesn't mean that Douglas can't be fantasy relevant alongside him, mainly in PPR formats. Right now, Douglas is ranked at RotoBaller as the WR69, so fantasy managers won't need to spend much on him.Source: Patriots CLNS - Taylor Kyles
During the New England Patriots' walkthrough practice on Monday, quarterback MarShawn Lloyd, Emanuel Wilson Back at Practice
MarShawn Lloyd (groin) and Emanuel Wilson (knee) were both back at Monday's training camp practice, according to Packers beat writer Mike Spofford. It's good news for Green Bay's backfield heading into Week 2 of the preseason. Lloyd, who played in just one game in his rookie season in 2024 due to injuries, missed the last couple weeks at camp with a non-contact groin injury, but now he's back on the field and should play in the second preseason game this Saturday against the Indianapolis Colts as he looks to secure the RB2 role behind starter Josh Jacobs. Lloyd will be competing with both Wilson and Chris Brooks for change-of-pace work in his second NFL season, and although he's proven to be very injury-prone early in his career, he's still the most intriguing RB in Green Bay behind Jacobs with lots of big-play ability.Source: Packers.com - Mike Spofford
Green Bay Packers running backs Matthew Stafford in Street Clothes on Monday
Matthew Stafford (back) is in street clothes for Monday's training camp practice, even though the expectation was that he would return to practice to begin the week, according to Adam Grosbard of the Los Angeles Daily News. Stafford had no limitations during his workout on Saturday before the team's preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys, and optimism was mounting that he would practice for the first time all summer on Monday. It doesn't appear to be the case, although Stafford could return any day now after being bothered by an aggravated disc in his back. When the 37-year-old veteran does get back on the field, it will likely be in individual drills at first. The Rams currently aren't worried that Stafford won't be ready for Week 1 of the regular season, but fantasy managers are getting more skeptical by the day.Source: Los Angeles Daily News - Adam Grosbard
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Rashee Rice Back at Practice on Monday
Rashee Rice (groin) is back on the practice field at training camp on Monday. Rice has been dealing with a minor groin injury at camp and was held out of the team's preseason opener on Saturday against the Arizona Cardinals as a result. With Marquise Brown (ankle) also held out due to a minor injury, it allowed Xavier Worthy and JuJu Smith-Schuster more playing time over the weekend. Rice should be completely healthy for the start of the 2025 regular season, but he's expected to be suspended anywhere from four to six games to begin the year due to legal issues surrounding an off-the-field incident. The 25-year-old figures to be quarterback Patrick Mahomes' favorite target when he's on the field, but a potential suspension to begin the year drops him down to more of a WR3/flex target in fantasy drafts.Source: Matt Foster
