Chris Jones Kansas City Chiefs Defense - Fantasy Football DST, Defense Streamers, Waiver Wire IDP

Joey's best fantasy football defense streamers and D/ST rankings for Weeks 7, 8, 9, 10 in 2025. NFL team defense streamers and starts based on strength of schedule.

Welcome, RotoBallers, to our fantasy football D/ST streamers and starts for Weeks 7, 8, 9, and 10 of the 2025 season. Every week of the fantasy football season, we will go through the best defensive streaming options that fantasy managers have to pick up for the upcoming weeks.

Last week, this article featured the Rams as one of the best streaming options at the defensive position. Los Angeles then went on to score over 15 fantasy points against the Lamar Jackson-less Ravens offense.

For Week 7, we will look at several defensive targets for the next four weeks (Weeks 7, 8, 9, 10). If you want our D/ST fantasy football draft rankings, be sure to check out that link. So, let's dive in and look at the best defensive streamers and starts for Week 7 and beyond.

D/ST Strength of Schedule: Weeks 7-10

This weekly series will focus on defenses fantasy managers should consider picking up for the coming weeks. We will look at defenses fantasy managers should pick up for one week, and some defenses to pick up for the next four weeks. Sometimes, rostering two defenses isn't the worst strategy in most leagues that have a deeper bench.

So, we will break down the best defensive streamers into a few categories (Temporary, Part-Time, Recruit, and Fool's Gold) in this article below. You can see the description of each of those streamer types down below:

  • “TemporaryStreamer: D/ST with a good matchup in Week 7
  • “Part-TimeStreamer: D/ST with multiple nice matchups in a row
  • “RecruitStreamer: D/ST with an easy upcoming schedule that you pick up earlier to stash on your bench
  • Fool’s GoldStreamer: D/ST that on paper looks like a good option, but should be avoided

Week 7 D/ST Streamers

Since this is a streamer D/ST article, we will only look at defenses that are rostered in under 60% of ESPN leagues. There are other great D/ST matchups as well for this week, so check out our Week 7 defense streamers and tiered rankings article to see the full list:

Kansas City Chiefs D/ST (Temporary Streamer)

  • Week 7 Opponent: Las Vegas Raiders
  • ESPN Rostership: 13.2%
  • Over-Under: 45.5 points
  • Opponent’s Implied Total Points: 16.75

If you are only looking for a D/ST for this week, the Chiefs should be your top priority on the waiver wire. They will face the Raiders in Week 7, making this Kansas City defense one of the best fantasy options of the week. This unit has tallied multiple sacks in five of six games and currently ranks top 10 in pressure rate.

That should result in a solid fantasy day for the Chiefs D/ST. Smith has thrown at least one interception in five different games and has been sacked 18 times through six weeks. Given that Chris Jones ranks fourth in pass rush win rate among all DTs to begin the season, he should win many battles inside against a struggling Las Vegas offensive line.

After this matchup against the Raiders, though, the Chiefs are likely a drop in most formats. This defense will play the Commanders in Week 8 and the Bills in Week 9 before going on a bye in Week 10. That's why this Kansas City D/ST is only a temporary streamer.

Los Angeles Rams D/ST (Temporary/Part-Time Streamer)

  • Week 7 Opponent: Jacksonville Jaguars
  • ESPN Rostership: 49.1%
  • Over-Under: 45 points
  • Opponent’s Implied Total Points: 21.5

The Rams were featured on this list last week as a potential part-time streamer. Since they are still rostered in under 60% of ESPN leagues, Los Angeles will remain a solid streamer for Week 7. This group just had its best defensive showing of the season last week, totaling four sacks and forcing a season-high three turnovers.

Therefore, this unit is worth a look in fantasy for the coming weeks. In Week 7, the Rams will go up against a Jaguars offense that has struggled to protect Trevor Lawrence in recent weeks. Lawrence was pressured on over 54% of his dropbacks in Week 5 and was then sacked a season-high seven times in last week's loss. So, this Los Angeles D/ST will be a top-12 play this weekend.

Although the Rams will go on a bye in Week 8, this unit will have another solid matchup in Week 9 against the Saints. That makes this Los Angeles defense a potential part-time streamer, considering you could use them in two of the next three games. This defense ranks top-12 in both pass rush win rate and pressure rate through six weeks.

Jacksonville Jaguars D/ST (Recruit Streamer)

  • Week 7 Opponent: Los Angeles Rams
  • ESPN Rostership: 32.1%
  • Over-Under: N/A
  • Opponent’s Implied Total Points: N/A

The Jaguars have actually played well on the defensive side of the ball to start this year. This unit ranks first in interceptions (10), and Josh Hines-Allen ranks in the top five in true pressure rate among all defensive ends in the NFL. While you likely can't use Jacksonville's D/ST in Week 7 against the Rams or Week 8 (bye), this is a defense worth stashing on your bench for Week 9 and Week 10.

The Jaguars will play the Raiders in Week 9 and the Texans in Week 10, both of which are favorable matchups. Geno Smith has thrown a league-leading 10 interceptions so far this season, and Las Vegas' offensive line has allowed 18 sacks (tied for the fifth-most). That will make Jacksonville a top D/ST play that week.

Then, in Week 10, you can use this defense again. The Jaguars already scored 13 fantasy points against the Texans' offense back in Week 3 behind a two-sack, three-turnover day. Given that Houston also ranks 29th in pass block win rate through six weeks, Jacksonville will be a top D/ST in back-to-back weeks.

Future Weeks D/ST Streamer

Los Angeles Chargers D/ST (Recruit Streamer)

  • Week 7 Opponent: Indianapolis Colts
  • Week 8 Opponent: Minnesota Vikings
  • Week 9 Opponent: Tennessee Titans
  • ESPN Rostership: 27.8%
  • Over-Under: N/A
  • Opponent’s Implied Total Points: N/A

If you already have your defense figured out for Week 7 and are looking ahead for the coming weeks, the Chargers D/ST is one of the best stashes right now. Since this group has a tougher matchup against the Colts this week, fantasy managers can likely pick this defense up for nothing. That would be a smart move, considering Los Angeles plays the Vikings in Week 8 and the Titans in Week 9.

Minnesota's offensive line ranks dead last in sacks allowed per game, and there's a strong chance that J.J. McCarthy will be back from his injury by this time. We all saw what McCarthy looked like under center in the first few weeks of the season.

Following that favorable matchup, the Chargers will play against the 32nd-ranked Titans offense. Tennessee's offensive line has let up 25 sacks so far this year (tied for the most in the NFL), and the offense is averaging just 13.8 points per game. That's enough to start this Chargers defense in both Week 9 and Week 10.

Fool’s Gold D/ST Streamers

Miami Dolphins D/ST at Cleveland Browns

  • Week 7 Opponent: Cleveland Browns
  • ESPN Rostership: 2.5%

Some fantasy managers could be looking to pick up the Miami Dolphins D/ST for Week 7. The Browns are averaging just 13.7 fantasy points per game, and Dillon Gabriel has been sacked eight times in his two starts this year. However, it might be best to pivot away from this Miami defense this week.

Although the Browns do have one of the worst offenses in the NFL, the Dolphins haven't exactly been great defensively across the first six weeks. Miami has allowed at least 27 points in five of six games and currently ranks around league average in pass rush win rate. That makes this unit a risky defensive option in most fantasy leagues in Week 7.

Recruit D/ST Streamers for Week 8

If you have Week 7 already figured out, let's look ahead at some defensive options that you could start in Week 8:

  • Buffalo Bills (62.2% rostership) - Week 8 opponent: Carolina Panthers
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers (20.9% rostership) - Week 8 Opponent: New Orleans Saints
  • New York Jets (9.1% rostership) - Week 8 opponent: Cincinnati Bengals

D/ST Streaming Action Plan: Next 4 Weeks

Planning out your fantasy D/ST might require some work, but it might be necessary to target the best matchups every single week. Here is how I would line up my defensive streams across the first four weeks.

  • Week 7: Stream the Chiefs versus the Raiders
  • Week 8: Stream the Bills versus the Panthers
  • Week 9: Stream the Chargers versus the Titans
  • Week 10: Stream the Jaguars versus the Texans
