Baltimore Orioles catcher prospect Samuel Basallo went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in Tuesday's 9-5 win against Triple=A Jacksonville. The 20-year-old phenom hit a three-run homer in the top of the fourth inning to give the Tides the lead for good and continues an outstanding season at Triple-A. He leads all hitters in hard-hit rate at 58.5 percent and only trails the recently promoted Roman Anthony in barrel rate. His prodigious power combined with his ability to make consistent contact make him one of the best prospects in baseball. The Orioles have gone through a flurry of injuries at the catcher position, but Basallo has yet to receive the call. It could come closer to the trade deadline as the Orioles are likely to sell some pieces off, and then we could see the slugger make his debut. He would be a priority add in nearly all formats.--Kyle McCarthySource: MiLB.com

Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in his team's 10-6 win against the hosting Houston Astros. He also walked twice, stole two bases, and scored thrice. The fantasy superstar got Cleveland on the board in the top of the first inning, crushing homer No. 16 off of Astros' starter Hunter Brown to make it 2-0. He wasn't done there, picking up two more steals to bring his season total to 24. Ramirez was stuck in a dreadful 2-for-31 slump to bridge June and July, but has broken out of it with authority, leaving the yard three times and swiping three bags over his last five appearances. Overall, he boasts a strong .299/.364/.503 triple slash and is poised to challenge for a second consecutive 30/30 campaign.--Alex CiullaSource: ESPN

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Chris Bassitt allowed four hits and one earned run in Tuesday's 6-1 road win against the Chicago White Sox. The veteran walked one, struck out one, and hit a batter to pick up his second straight win and ninth overall (9-4). Bassitt cruised through the first five frames, but White Sox infielder Josh Rojas led off the bottom of the sixth inning with a solo shot to put the Pale Hose on the board. Although the right-hander quickly recovered and retired the side. Toronto came out for the top of the next frame, but the contest would eventually be called due to rain, awarding Bassitt his first complete game since 2023, and third overall in his eleven-year career. He'll take a 4.16 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, and 103:29 K:BB across 106 innings (19 starts) into the All-Star break.--Alex CiullaSource: ESPN

Miami Marlins starting pitcher Eury Perez gave up two hits and one earned run in his team's 12-2 victory over the hosting Cincinnati Reds. He struck out eight to pick up his second consecutive win, improving to 2-2 through six starts. That marks back-to-back stellar outings for the 22-year-old, with a Matt McLain solo home run accounting for the only blemish against him over his last 11 innings pitched. Perez has struck out 15 batters over that span, yielding just three hits and a walk. It's worth noting that there were a good number of hard-hit balls in the little contact he allowed Tuesday, but he's mostly done well to mitigate that thus far. Perez will look to keep the good times rolling when he next takes the mound in a road matchup with the Baltimore Orioles.--Alex CiullaSource: ESPN

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski fired six innings of one-run ball in Tuesday's 3-1 win against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The hard-throwing right-hander yielded four hits, issued one free pass, and struck out 12 to record his fourth win in five tries (4-1). Misiorowski gave up a leadoff homer to Shohei Ohtani, but proceeded to punch out six of the next seven batters he faced and an even dozen overall to set a new career-high. The young hurler piled up an eye-popping 21 whiffs on the day -- four more than the next four pitchers in the contest combined. He's been exceptional through his first 25 2/3 professional innings, compiling a 2.81 ERA, 0.90 WHIP, and 33:11 K:BB ratio. Misiorowski next projects to toe the rubber following the All-Star break in a road series against these very same Dodgers.--Alex CiullaSource: ESPN

Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Brayan Bello allowed two earned runs and five hits over nine innings in Tuesday's 10-2 home win against the Colorado Rockies. He issued one free pass, hit a batter, and struck out ten to record his second career complete game. Bello was dealing early, facing the minimum number of batters five times through his first seven frames, and allowing nary a run through eight. However, a Tyler Freeman single and a Hunter Goodman homer to start the ninth would end his shutout bid. He'd yield another single two batters later, but escape with no further damage to improve to 5-3 through 14 starts. Bello hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in an outing in nearly two months, and will carry a solid 3.27 ERA and 1.30 WHIP into a meeting with the visiting Tampa Bay Rays later this weekend.--Alex CiullaSource: ESPN

Houston Astros outfielder Yordan Alvarez (hand) is continuing to work out, but hasn't yet resumed hitting, reports Chandler Rome of The Athletic. It's been a long and frustrating rehab process for the slugger, with an initial diagnosis of hand inflammation that sent him to the injured list in early May. However, over a month into the rehab process, it was revealed that he actually had a fracture in his hand. After attempting to ramp up baseball activities last week, the 28-year-old was temporarily shut down once again with soreness that required injections to reduce the discomfort. It's just a waiting game at this point, but hopefully the hand will be fully healed following the All-Star break.--Jeremy HeistSource: Chandler Rome

Houston Astros starting pitcher Spencer Arrighetti (thumb) was scheduled to face hitters in live batting practice on Tuesday, reports Chandler Rome of The Athletic. This is the next step in his rehab process, following a 30-pitch side session this past Friday. It's been a long road back from a broken thumb he suffered in early April when he was hit by a ball during batting practice. The 25-year-old looked poised for a potential breakout season, after impressing during the final months of 2024 that led to him striking out 171 batters in 145 innings. While there isn't yet an official target date for his activation, a late July or early August return seems the most likely.--Jeremy HeistSource: Chandler Rome

Houston Astros shortstop Jeremy Pena (rib) has yet to resume baseball activities, with his only work at the moment limited to the weight room, reports Chandler Rome of The Athletic. He has been out since June 27 due to a small rib fracture. Astros manager Joe Espada declined to answer the question of whether or not Pena would play before the All-Star break, but it's looking more unlikely with each passing day. With the break less than a week away, it's hard to see the motivation to rush him back for a game or two before the four-day break. The 27-year-old has been having a career year so far in 2025, batting .322 with 11 home runs and 15 stolen bases.--Jeremy HeistSource: Chandler Rome

New York Mets starting pitcher Sean Manaea (elbow/oblique) completed what will likely be his final rehab outing on Tuesday, allowing three runs on four hits and one walk over 3 ⅔ innings for Triple-A Syracuse. He struck out five and threw 73 pitches. While the results weren't the best in this one, the most important thing is that he is healthy enough to join the major league rotation. There are reports that the lefty could make his season debut on Sunday, piggybacking Clay Holmes, who is scheduled to start the game. This obviously wouldn't be a regular occurrence, but rather a way to ease him back into the rotation before the All-Star break. The 33-year-old will be looking to continue his success from 2024 when he posted a 3.47 ERA and 1.08 WHIP with 184 strikeouts in 181 ⅔ innings.--Jeremy HeistSource: Mike Mayer

Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (back) was scratched from Tuesday's lineup due to lower back tightness. He was originally slated to start in right field and bat leadoff, but Eli White will get the start instead, with Jurickson Profar shifting to the top of the batting order. The discomfort seemingly presented itself during batting practice, and there will likely be further updates after the game. Hopefully it's just a precautionary move, as the superstar is enjoying an elite season after returning from a torn ACL. The 27-year-old is slashing .331/.450/.561 with nine home runs in 40 games.--Jeremy HeistSource: Atlanta Braves

San Francisco Giants designated hitter Rafael Devers (back) is still dealing with some back tightness that will delay his debut at first base until after the All-Star break, reports Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area. While he has third base eligibility in fantasy, he has actually been serving as the full-time designated hitter for the Giants until he is healthy enough to try his hand at first base. While the back issue limits his ability to field and run, he's still able to swing the bat. Since being traded to San Francisco, the 28-year-old is slashing .240/.348/.387 with two home runs in 20 games.--Jeremy HeistSource: Alex Pavlovic

Another week and another top ranking for Scottie Scheffler, who comes to The Renaissance Club looking to capture his fourth win of the season, although one could guess that next week is a much more important piece of hardware. Nevertheless, the former Longhorn has established a decent record here in three previous starts, with a T3 last year and a T12 in 2021 before it became a co-sanctioned event. The issue for the 29-year-old is that putting has to be more of a strength than it has been in the three previous appearances. Everyone has grown familiar with the ball-striking prowess that Scheffler shows up with every round. If his 15th ranking this season in strokes gained putting (+0.418) has any positive effect on the performance across the pond, winning this week could become a formality by Saturday.--Todd McGillSource: PGA Tour

After a T6 finish at The Travelers, Rory McIlroy has laid to rest some of the naysayers who have doubted his focus and determination following his historic Masters victory. He returns to The Renaissance Club again to hopefully prepare his game for a homecoming at Royal Portrush next week. The last two years have been great for the world no. 2, who hit an all-time classic shot in 2023 to win, and followed it up with a T4 last year. McIlroy's excellence off the tee makes this layout as getable for him as anyone else in the field, with an average drive of 320.6. Another point for the 36-year-old is that he's statistically having the best season on the greens of his career, ranking 5th on the PGA Tour in strokes gained putting (+0.647). If having one of the highest-owned players is of no concern, McIlroy makes for a no-brainer.--Todd McGillSource: PGA Tour

After an impressive T4 finish here last season, Adam Scott returns this year looking to shake off the bad finish at Oakmont a few weeks ago and continue pushing towards improving his 85th position in the FedEx Cup race. On paper, the soon-to-be 45-year-old is doing enough to suggest a repeat performance could be possible. His game off the tee is still plenty long enough to compete with the other long hitters that usually thrive here, and his long iron game tends to shine a little brighter than the lesser clubs, ranking 21st in approach proximity from beyond 200 yards (47' 9). Putting is the one outlier that fluctuates with every event, but the Australian has gained on these greens in both previous appearances. For those in need of a veteran DFS play that will likely play all four rounds, Scott may not be a terrible option. --Todd McGillSource: PGA Tour

After a missed cut at the U.S. Open and a poor T45 finish at The Travelers, Sepp Straka is an easier name to forget about, even though he's a top 10 player in the world. A short stint of hot putting has withered to a point that he's averaged -1.47 strokes gained putting over those two starts. Accuracy has been the biggest selling point for the 32-year-old this season, but from an off-the-tee perspective, his lack of firepower is more of a detriment than his accuracy is a benefit. In two previous appearances, the former Bulldog has had horrendous weeks on the greens. That makes for a scary proposition this time around since things are already trending in that direction. Avoid him in most situations.--Todd McGillSource: Data Golf

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Jorge Soler is absent from the starting lineup ahead of Tuesday's game against the Texas Rangers. This appears to be a routine rest day for Soler who has only four hits since returning from the injured list. The Angels will give him some extra rest in the hope that he turns it around at the plate. Soler isn't offering a ton of upside at the plate right now, so he's really only a deep league option at the moment. LaMonte Wade Jr. will take over right field and bat eighth versus right-hander Nathan Eovaldi on Tuesday.--Andy WebbSource: mlb.com

Washington Nationals catcher Keibert Ruiz (concussion) was activated off the injured list on Friday, but will head back on the shelf now. Ruiz has experienced renewed concussion symptoms which will land him on the 7-day injured list again. Hopefully, Ruiz will be back in the mix shortly after the All-Star break. In the meantime, Riley Adams and Drew Millas will split up the playing time behind the plate. Neither catcher offers enough upside with the bat to warrant rostering in most fantasy formats.--Andy WebbSource: Washington Nationals

Tampa Bay Rays infielder Brandon Lowe (side) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Tuesday's game against the Detroit Tigers. This marks the second game in a row that Lowe has missed due to a left side injury. He was forced to exit Sunday's contest due to the issue and it's unclear if he'll require a stint on the injured list. The All-Star break is approaching, so maybe the Rays will wait and see if Lowe gets better over the break. For now, fantasy managers should consider Lowe as day-to-day. Jose Caballero will cover second base and bat eighth versus right-hander Jack Flaherty on Tuesday.--Andy WebbSource: mlb.com

Arizona Diamondbacks infielder Ketel Marte (groin) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Tuesday's game against the San Diego Padres. Marte is back in the mix after being held out of Monday's contest due to right groin tightness. Luckily, it appears to be a minor issue with Marte batting second and covering second base versus right-hander Nick Pivetta on Tuesday. Fantasy managers should double check their lineups and make sure Marte is in there ahead of first pitch.--Andy WebbSource: mlb.com

Chicago White Sox infielder/outfielder Brooks Baldwin (back) has been scratched from the starting lineup ahead of Tuesday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays. Baldwin has been pulled out of the lineup due to lower back tightness. It's a shame because Baldwin has been hitting well lately with a five-game hitting streak coming into this contest. For now, Baldwin should be considered day-to-day with a minor back issue. Austin Slater will take over left field and bat eighth versus right-hander Chris Bassitt on Tuesday.--Andy WebbSource: mlb.com

Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Rhys Hoskins (thumb) was recently placed on the 10-day injured list after getting hurt over the weekend. Hoskins is reportedly dealing with a Grade 2 UCL thumb sprain, which is going to sideline him for quite a while. The expectation is that Hoskins is going to be out for at least six weeks. The organization is hopeful to get something out of Hoskins during the month of August. That being said, Hoskins is looking like a cut-candidate in most formats that can't place him on an IL spot. In the meantime, Andrew Vaughn and Jake Bauers figure to split up the playing time at first base.--Andy WebbSource: Todd Rosiak

Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Cole Ragans (shoulder) has been transferred to the 60-day injured list on Tuesday. Ragans recently started a throwing program, but still has a long way to go before getting back on the mound for the Royals. That being said, the Royals have transferred Ragans to the 60-day IL in order to open up a spot on the 40-man roster. The left-hander has been sidelined since early June due to a rotator cuff strain. Ragans is now going to be sidelined until early August. Fantasy managers should continue to hold Ragans and hope they can get something else out of him before the regular season ends.--Andy WebbSource: Kansas City Royals

Boston Red Sox reliever Liam Hendriks (hip) has suffered a setback in his recovery from right hip inflammation and will go for a second opinion, according to Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com. The news comes on the heels of Boston moving Hendriks from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL earlier Tuesday. Hendriks hasn't pitched in the majors since May 27, and now the 36-year-old surely won't return until at least August. Hendriks missed all of last season while recovering from the Tommy John surgery he underwent in August 2023. The three-time All-Star was able to come back from that procedure this year, but the hip injury has limited him to 13 2/3 innings of 6.59 ERA ball.--Connor ByrneSource: Chris Cotillo - MassLive.com

The Boston Red Sox announced that they have optioned right-hander Richard Fitts to Triple-A Worcester. Additionally, the team has selected the contract of righty Isaiah Campbell from Worcester and moved reliever Liam Hendriks (hip) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL. Fitts, 25, is on his way back to the minors after earning his first major league win on Monday. He held the Colorado Rockies to three runs (two earned) over 5 2/3 innings of five-hit ball with six strikeouts and one walk in a 9-3 victory. Overall, Fitts has gone 1-3 with a 4.33 ERA, a 1.22 WHIP, and 28:10 K:BB in 33 2/3 innings. Righty Hunter Dobbins (elbow) could come off the IL to take Fitts' place in Boston's rotation in the coming days.--Connor ByrneSource: Boston Red Sox

The Chicago White Sox announced that they have reinstated outfielder Luis Robert Jr. (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list and optioned infielder Tristan Gray to Triple-A Charlotte. Robert missed the last two weeks with a strained left hamstring. He's returning Tuesday to start in center field and bat sixth against Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Chris Bassitt. Now that he's back, Robert could be an interesting player to watch as we draw closer to the July 31 trade deadline. While Robert did come up in the rumor mill before his IL stint, his trade value is likely in the tank. The 27-year-old has batted a career-worst .185/.270/.313 with eight home runs, 32 RBI, 27 runs scored, and a 30.9% strikeout rate in 285 plate appearances. On the positive side, with 22 stolen bases, Robert is just one away from tying a career high.--Connor ByrneSource: Chicago White Sox

The New York Mets shifted right-hander Tylor Megill (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Tuesday. Megill has been on the IL since June 15 with a sprained right elbow. Tuesday's move means Megill won't be eligible to return until mid-August. Megill went 5-5 with a 3.95 ERA and a prolific 89 strikeouts in 68 1/3 innings before going on the IL. At the same time, however, he walked 33 hitters and had trouble going deep in games. He completed six innings in just two of his first 14 starts. The 29-year-old is currently among several Mets starting options on the IL. The team may get Kodai Senga and Sean Manaea back as early as this week, though, and could also make outside additions before the July 31 trade deadline.--Connor ByrneSource: New York Mets

It has been nearly one month since we last saw Justin Rose hit a golf shot. He missed the cut at the U.S. Open with a pair of 77s; the third one out of his last four starts. Ball striking has been bad in all aspects, but particularly off the tee, where the 44-year-old ranks 151st in strokes gained off the tee (-0.358) from a lack of both distance and accuracy. That also carries over to the long irons, where Rose doesn't rank very favorably in terms of proximity to the hole. At $9,700 on FanDuel, there is nothing to suggest that the 10x PGA Tour winner will be a DFS asset this week. --Todd McGillSource: PGA Tour
