Houston Astros shortstop Jeremy Pena (rib) has yet to resume baseball activities, with his only work at the moment limited to the weight room, reports Chandler Rome of The Athletic. He has been out since June 27 due to a small rib fracture. Astros manager Joe Espada declined to answer the question of whether or not Pena would play before the All-Star break, but it's looking more unlikely with each passing day. With the break less than a week away, it's hard to see the motivation to rush him back for a game or two before the four-day break. The 27-year-old has been having a career year so far in 2025, batting .322 with 11 home runs and 15 stolen bases.--Jeremy Heist
