Rhys Hoskins Likely Out Six Weeks
Rhys Hoskins (thumb) was recently placed on the 10-day injured list after getting hurt over the weekend. Hoskins is reportedly dealing with a Grade 2 UCL thumb sprain, which is going to sideline him for quite a while. The expectation is that Hoskins is going to be out for at least six weeks. The organization is hopeful to get something out of Hoskins during the month of August. That being said, Hoskins is looking like a cut-candidate in most formats that can't place him on an IL spot. In the meantime, Andrew Vaughn and Jake Bauers figure to split up the playing time at first base.
