Tyler Reddick was one of the few drivers that had to deal with a flat tire during practice at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday morning. However, the No. 45 Toyota was fast prior to that. Before the tire issue happened, Reddick had the seventh-fastest lap of the session and looked great on the long run, posting the best 10-lap average. He's the defending winner here at Michigan International Speedway, so he definitely knows how to get around this track. As of Saturday afternoon, it still wasn't determined whether the 23XI Racing team would have to repair the car before Sunday's FireKeepers Casino 400. If so, Reddick will have to drop to the rear at the start of the race, but that shouldn't be a big deal. On DraftKings this weekend, Reddick is underpriced at $9,800, and should be a contender for the win. He's a strong DFS option in all formats on Sunday.--Jordan McAbeeSource: The Daily Downforce

Ryan Preece should be a contender for a top-10 finish at Michigan this weekend despite qualifying back in 23rd place for Sunday afternoon's FireKeepers Casino 400. Surprisingly, Preece's No. 60 Ford has been one of the most consistent cars on intermediate tracks this season, as he ranks fourth-fastest (on average) over the four races on this track type. Here at Michigan specifically, Preece ended up finishing 11th in last year's race, and now he drives for Roush-Fenway Keselowski Racing, which has been one of the best in the Irish Hills in the Next Gen era. At $7,000 on DraftKings this weekend, Preece is a solid mid-tier DFS option that has upside with a path to get into the optimal lineup. Don't be afraid to roll the dice with him on Sunday. In practice on Saturday, Preece was 13th-fastest with a speed of 194.274 mph.--Jordan McAbeeSource: ifantasyrace

Brad Keselowski is a strong DFS play at Michigan International Speedway this weekend. Michigan has been his best track in the Next Gen era, as Brad has an average driver rating of 92.3 in the last three races here with finishes of fifth, fourth, and 15th. He has also shown great speed at intermediate tracks this season but bad luck has gotten in the way of getting good finishes. At Charlotte a couple weeks ago, though, Keselowski finally had a race without any issues and finished fifth despite starting way back in 35th. That shows what the No. 6 Ford is capable of, and Goodyear is using the same left side tire this weekend at Michigan that was ran at Charlotte. Keselowski is very moderately priced at $7,500 on DraftKings this week, and he qualified back in 27th-place for Sunday's FireKeepers Casino 400. He's one of the best value plays in the field this weekend when it comes to DFS. --Jordan McAbeeSource: NBC Sports

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (knee) is progressing toward a return to right field, per Michael Huntley of the Orange County Register. After successfully taking outfield drills Friday, Trout will do so again Saturday, according to manager Ron Washington. The 33-year-old missed almost all of May with a bone bruise in his left knee. Since returning May 30, he has been the Angels' designated hitter, leaving Jorge Soler to handle right. Ideally, the Angels would rather deploy the defensively questionable Soler at DH. Trout has gone 10-of-25 since coming off the injured list, raising his line to .221/.302/.481 with 10 homers and 23 RBI in 149 trips to the plate. Trout's .399 xwOBA suggests he has deserved far better than his bottom-line production thus far. He'll face Seattle Mariners right-hander Luis Castillo on Saturday. Trout is 2-for-8 with an HR, four strikeouts, and a walk against Castillo.--Connor ByrneSource: Michael Huntley - Orange County Register

Look for Chris Buscher to have good speed in the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway this weekend. The No. 17 Ford was one of the fastest cars in practice on Saturday morning, posting the third-fastest single-lap speed and ranking fourth-best on the 10-lap average chart. Additionally, when it came to the 10 fastest laps laid down in practice, Buescher had the best speed for four of those. At Michigan specifically, this No. 17 Ford has been strong and steady. In addition to winning here in 2023, Buescher had a solid sixth-place finish in the Irish Hills last year, and he's shown speed on other intermediate tracks this season (particularly at Kansas). At $7,800 on DraftKings this weekend, Buescher makes for an interesting tournament consideration since he qualified up in sixth-place for Sunday's race. He doesn't have much Place Differential upside, but there's a possibility of leading laps and contending for the race win.--Jordan McAbeeSource: ifantasyrace

San Francisco Giants outfielder Jung Hoo Lee is not in the lineup for their meeting with the Atlanta Braves on Saturday. Daniel Johnson will take over in center field for Lee and occupy the leadoff spot for the Giants against right-hander Bryce Elder. A consistent presence near the top of San Francisco's lineup, Lee has gotten off to a nice start in his second year in the majors. The former KBO star is hitting .277/.331/.438 with six home runs, 32 RBI, and six stolen bases in 63 games and 266 plate appearances. Assuming Lee isn't sitting Saturday for an injury-related reason, he figures to draw back into the lineup Sunday against righty Spencer Strider.--Connor ByrneSource: MLB.com

It's hard to believe we're saying this considering he's shown good upside so many times in his young career, but if you're looking for a cheap DFS option at Michigan this weekend, Ty Gibbs priced at $6,900 could be an option.read more...

If you're looking for a low-to-mid-tier DFS option that has some upside at Michigan International Speedway, Erik Jones is a great choice. This two-mile track in the Irish Hills has been a great venue for the Michigan-born driver, as Jones has an average finish of 15.3 here over 12 career starts. In the Next Gen era, he has posted results of 16th, 10th, and eighth in the three races. This weekend, Jones ended up qualifying in 22nd-place for Sunday afternoon's FireKeepers Casino 400, which means he has some Place Differential upside at a relatively cheap price on DraftKings (his salary is only $6,700). Fresh off of his seventh-place finish at Nashville, Jones has now ended up 13th or better in three of his last four Cup Series starts. He has upside as a tournament DFS pick this weekend. --Jordan McAbeeSource: ifantasyrace

Fantasy managers have a bit of a decision to make at Michigan on Sunday as far as what to do with AJ Allmendinger. On one hand, the No. 16 Chevrolet has shown legitimate speed in several intermediate track races this season, including a strong top-five run at Charlotte a couple of weeks ago. Allmendinger also ended up eighth at Las Vegas and seventh at Homestead. However, as far as track record at Michigan International Speedway, it may be best to ignore that if you're looking to roll the dice with the Kaulig Racing driver this weekend. Allmendinger has never finished better than 11th here in 23 career starts and has posted finishes of 30th and 26th over the last two years in the Next Gen era car. He's priced at $6,500 on DraftKings, so it's not like you're breaking the bank by taking a flier on the No. 16 Chevrolet this weekend. But it's definitely a risky tournament play, considering Allmendinger starts 19th, so his place-differential upside is relatively limited.--Jordan McAbeeSource: Driver Averages

Cleveland Guardians first baseman/designated hitter Carlos Santana is out of the lineup for their game against the Houston Astros on Saturday. Cleveland will start Kyle Manzardo at first, while Jose Ramirez will shift from third base to DH, and Will Wilson will man the hot corner. The switch-hitting Santana had a sizzling May, but he has cooled down in June, going 4-for-19 with one RBI in five games. Overall, though, this has been another productive season for the 39-year-old. He's slashing .256/.358/.389 with seven home runs and 29 RBI in 240 plate appearances. His Guardians teammates will have a tough assignment Saturday against emerging star right-hander Hunter Brown, owner of a microscopic 1.83 ERA in 73 2/3 innings.--Connor ByrneSource: MLB.com

Another week, another tournament punt option in Ty Dillon, who is priced very low at $5,100 on DraftKings for the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway on Sunday. Ty has been serviceable at intermediate tracks this season, including finishes of 21st at Las Vegas, 12th at Texas, and 19th at Charlotte. Additionally, Dillon actually has a decent track record at Michigan specifically. He's finished 20th and 14th in two Next Gen races here and has an average finish of 20.5 over his 12 career Cup Series starts at this two-mile oval. Speed-wise, the No. 10 Chevrolet was slow during practice on Saturday, but the Kaulig Racing team was able to find some speed in qualifying and Ty Dillon will roll off the starting grid from 18th-place on race day. He's a super-risky DFS pick this weekend due to the high starting position, but Ty could be worth a flier or two in tournaments due to his extremely low DFS salary.--Jordan McAbeeSource: Speedway Digest

Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Oneil Cruz is not in the lineup Saturday as the Bucs continue a series against the Philadelphia Phillies. It's his first day off since May 19. Alexander Canario will shift from left to center to replace Cruz, while Tommy Pham will play left. Second baseman Nick Gonzales will slot into Cruz's leadoff spot in the lineup. The lefty-hitting Cruz has been highly productive with a .230/.353/.465 line, 12 homers, 28 RBI, and 22 stolen bases over 241 plate appearances, but he has done the vast majority of that damage against right-handers. The Phillies are starting a tough lefty, Ranger Suarez, on Saturday. Cruz has a paltry .532 OPS with one HR in 57 at-bats versus southpaws this season.--Connor ByrneSource: MLB.com

San Francisco Giants right-handed pitcher Justin Verlander (pectoral) was able to complete a 35-4 pitch simulated game on Friday and is set to undergo further evaluation on Saturday. The 42-year-old was placed on the 15-day injured list on May 22 with a right pectoral strain and appears to be progressing well through his recovery. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status as he could be cleared to take the next steps in his process. The team has not decided whether he will need to complete a rehab assignment before returning. Before the injury, Verlander posted a modest 4.33 ERA with a 1.40 WHIP across 52 innings. He tallied only 41 strikeouts. Given his struggles through the early part of the season, he is only worth rostering in deeper formats for the time being.--Andy SmithSource: MLB.com

Chicago Bears rookie wide receiver Luther Burden III (undisclosed) was still missing from offseason practices this week due to an undisclosed soft-tissue injury. It's unclear exactly what Burden is dealing with. Although he could be ready to go by training camp in late July, the 21-year-old pass-catcher is losing valuable developmental reps this offseason heading into his first NFL season in 2025. In addition to his injury, he has yet to sign his rookie contract. When healthy, Burden could be the Bears' No. 3 receiver in the slot alongside DJ Moore and second-year man Rome Odunze. He will likely be competing with Olamide Zaccheaus for the No. 3 role, but even if he wins it, Burden could be fighting an uphill battle for consistent targets in his rookie season on a Bears offense that now has six players that were former top-50 picks.--Keith HernandezSource: The Athletic - Adam Jahns

St. Louis Cardinals right-handed pitching prospect Michael McGreevy is expected to be promoted from Triple-A Memphis to start Sunday's contest against the Los Angeles Dodgers. McGreevy was given a spot start earlier this season and performed well, logging 5 2/3 shutout innings against the New York Mets. In this outing, he struck out five batters and allowed just one hit and one walk. Last summer, McGreevy made his MLB debut and found success as well, posting a 1.96 ERA and a stellar 0.78 WHIP across 23 frames. During this stint, he struck out 18 batters. Through 339 1/3 career innings at the Triple-A level, McGreevy has posted a 4.00 ERA with a 1.36 WHIP. Even though he has found success in the big leagues, he is best to fade in DFS on Sunday while facing a potent Dodgers lineup.--Andy SmithSource: John Denton

Seattle Mariners right-handed pitcher George Kirby (jaw) is listed as Sunday's starter when the Mariners face the Los Angeles Angels. In his last start, Kirby was struck by a comebacker. However, the right-hander avoided a significant injury and is in line to make his next scheduled start. In his last start, Kirby logged five innings of two-run ball against the Orioles. He struck out three batters and allowed one walk and eight hits. Through 13 2/3 innings this season, Kirby has held a high 8.56 ERA with a 1.83 WHIP. Kirby dealt with right shoulder inflammation during the early part of the campaign and has struggled to find his footing early on. However, last summer, Kirby held a 3.53 ERA with an impressive 1.07 WHIP across 191 innings of work. He will be a strong play in DFS facing the Angels on Sunday.--Andy SmithSource: MLB.com

Chicago Bears safety Jaquan Brisker (concussion) missed most of last season with a concussion. Brisker sought and underwent treatment at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he was told that he had a vestibular concussion. He retrained his nervous system after appearing in only five games in 2024. The 26-year-old is back on the field during offseason workouts, though, and has been flying around like he did before his concussion, according to The Athletic's Adam Jahns. The former second-round pick (48th overall) in 2022 will be a big piece of the secondary that the Bears will be getting back this year, as he had 100-plus combined tackles in both of his first two seasons in the NFL in 2022 and 2023. Brisker had 40 tackles (23 solo), a sack, an interception and a forced fumble in his five games last year. If fully healthy, he should be in play as a DB streamer in IDP fantasy formats.--Keith HernandezSource: The Athletic - Adam Jahns

Chicago White Sox catching prospect Kyle Teel will be batting fifth on Saturday when the White Sox continue a series against the Kansas City Royals. Teel will serve as the DH, which will allow Edgar Quero to enter the lineup and be behind the dish. Teel made his MLB debut on Friday evening and went 1-for-2 with two walks and a run. In this game, Teel was batting sixth. It is an excellent sign for his fantasy potential to see him already begin to move up the batting order. Earlier this season at Triple-A, the No. 28-ranked prospect posted a strong .295/.394/.492 slash line with 10 doubles, eight home runs, and a 54:30 K:BB. Given his high power upside and clear path to an everyday role in the starting nine, Teel is a viable waiver wire target in all standard leagues.--Andy SmithSource: MLB.com

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernandez is not in the starting lineup on Saturday when the Dodgers continue a series against the St. Louis Cardinals. Hernandez has started in each of the past 15 contests. During this stretch, the 32-year-old has posted a .193/.234/.328 slash line. He has only tallied five doubles and hit one round-tripper over this span. This afternoon, the Dodgers will have Andy Pages shift over to right field, which will open up center field for Hyeseong Kim. Prior to this skid at the plate, Hernandez posted a stellar .315/.333/.600 slash line with 10 doubles, nine home runs, and 34 RBI. Fantasy managers should expect Hernandez to return to the starting nine on Sunday. This afternoon, the Dodgers are the strong target in DFS facing right-hander Erick Fedde, who enters this game with a 3.82 ERA.--Andy SmithSource: MLB.com

Toronto Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk is not in Saturday's lineup when they continue a series against the Minnesota Twins. Kirk has started in each of the past five contests. During this stretch, Kirk posted a strong .368/.400/.474 slash line with two doubles and four RBI. He only struck out twice during this stretch. This afternoon, the Blue Jays will give Tyler Heineman the starting nod behind the dish. Heineman is slated to bat in the nine-hole. Through 51 games this season, Kirk has been productive in the batter's box, posting a .304/.352/.387 slash line with six doubles and three home runs. He has struck out at an impressive 10.1% rate and generated an elite .313 xBA. Fantasy managers should expect Kirk to return to the lineup on Sunday. This afternoon, Heineman is not worth targeting in DFS facing Minnesota right-hander Chris Paddack.--Andy SmithSource: MLB.com

Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton is not in the team's starting lineup on Saturday against the visiting Toronto Blue Jays at Target Field. Harrison Bader will start in center field and will bat ninth versus Blue Jays right-hander Kevin Gausman. Although Bader has been a nice surprise offensively in his first year with the Twins in 2025, fantasy managers setting DFS lineups will probably want to avoid him in the nine-hole and for the fact he's hit just .091 with an RBI in 11 career at-bats against Gausman. Buxton could use a little breather after going hitless in nine at-bats with two strikeouts in his last three games. The 31-year-old former second overall pick is on pace for his first 20-homer, 20-stolen base season in his 12th year in the big leagues if he can stay healthy the rest of the way. That's a pretty big if, considering his lengthy injury history.--Keith HernandezSource: MLB.com

Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa (back) is starting at shortstop and batting third in Saturday's game against the visiting Toronto Blue Jays and right-hander Kevin Gausman. With Correa back after missing three straight games with back tightness, Brooks Lee will head back to the bench this weekend. Th 30-year-old Correa will return to face Gausman, who he has hit .267 against with an RBI in 15 career at-bats. He's mostly been a disappointment for fantasy managers in 2025 with a .241/.285/.380 slash line, a .665 OPS, only five home runs, 19 RBI and 23 runs scored in 187 at-bats. The good news is that the former first overall pick has an xBA of .270, indicating that he should experience positive regression going forward if he can stay healthy. Since May 26, Correa has gone 8-for-31 (.258) with two homers, three doubles and five RBI in eight games.--Keith HernandezSource: MLB.com

The Atlanta Braves announced on Saturday that they designated right-handed reliever Craig Kimbrel for assignment and recalled left-hander Austin Cox from the minors in a corresponding move. Well, that didn't last long. The Braves shook up their bullpen after a meltdown in Thursday's loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks and brought Kimbrel back to the big leagues. He made his first appearance with the Braves since the end of the 2014 regular season on Friday night and tossed a scoreless inning in the extra-inning loss to the San Francisco Giants. If Kimbrel passes through waivers, which is likely, he can either accept an outright assignment back to Triple-A Gwinnett or try to sign with another club as a free agent. The nine-time All-Star has 440 career saves in 15 big-league seasons, but his velocity has fallen considerably in recent years, and he's unlikely to get another extended high-leverage role.--Keith HernandezSource: Atlanta Braves

The Philadelphia Phillies announced on Saturday that they selected the contract of infielder/outfielder Otto Kemp from Triple-A Lehigh Valley and placed first baseman Bryce Harper (wrist) on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move with right-wrist inflammation. Kemp, the team's No. 24 prospect per MLB Pipeline, gets his first major-league call-up after hitting an impressive .313/.416/.594 with 14 home runs, 55 RBI, 49 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 58 games for Lehigh Valley. The 25-year-old has the ability to play third base, second base and the outfield, but he'll most likely have the best chance for playing time at the hot corner in Philly with Alec Bohm sliding over to first base with Harper sidelined. Kemp should share playing time at third with utility infielder Edmundo Sosa.--Keith HernandezSource: MLB.com
