Otto Kemp Called Up by Phillies
Otto Kemp from Triple-A Lehigh Valley and placed first baseman Bryce Harper (wrist) on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move with right-wrist inflammation. Kemp, the team's No. 24 prospect per MLB Pipeline, gets his first major-league call-up after hitting an impressive .313/.416/.594 with 14 home runs, 55 RBI, 49 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 58 games for Lehigh Valley. The 25-year-old has the ability to play third base, second base and the outfield, but he'll most likely have the best chance for playing time at the hot corner in Philly with Alec Bohm sliding over to first base with Harper sidelined. Kemp should share playing time at third with utility infielder Edmundo Sosa.
