Kristian Campbell Stuffs Stat Sheet In Win
Kristian Campbell went 2-for-2 with a double in Sunday's 13-3 victory over the Cleveland Guardians. The rookie was electric in the drubbing of the Guardians, adding a single, two RBI, four runs scored, and a steal. He's up to a .305 average now, with a .412 OBP and an .886 OPS through his first 27 major-league games. It's an excellent start to his career, as the 22-year-old's advanced eye at the plate has carried over into his first stint in the bigs. Campbell has reached base in eight of his past ten appearances, collecting four multi-hit performances over that span. Additionally, he's been impacting the ball better recently, notching three hard-hit balls over the weekend.Source: ESPN
Boston Red Sox second baseman Franklin Arias Promoted To High-A
Franklin Arias to High-A Greenville. Arias joined the Red Sox organization in 2023 and is already quickly climbing the prospect ranks. Through the early part of the campaign, Arias enjoyed a strong start with Low-A, holding a .346/.407/.397 slash line with four doubles and four stolen bases. Last season, Arias spent most of his time at the Rookie level before earning a brief taste of Low-A. Across both levels, he held a .309/.409/.487 slash line with 25 doubles, nine home runs, and 35 stolen bases. Fantasy managers should monitor the 19-year-old's progression at High-A as he is climbing prospect boards. He currently sits as the No. 4-ranked in the Boston system and the No. 73-overall in the sport on MLB Pipeline.Source: Chris Cotillo
The Boston Red Sox are promoting infield prospect Nolan Jones The Only Source Of Offense Sunday
Nolan Jones went 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in his team's 11-3 loss to the Boston Red Sox. He also drew a walk and struck out. It was Jones' first long ball of the season, and the three RBIs brought him up to five to match his run total. The former second-round pick has had a dreadful start to the year, batting .190 (12-for-63) with five doubles and two steals across 24 appearances. Despite the lack of statistical output, the 26-year-old holds a strong 14.9% walk rate and is hitting the ball incredibly hard. Jones' average exit velocity (96.3 MPH) and hard-hit rate (65%) are the best figures in the bigs. Furthermore, it appears he's having some bad BABIP luck (.244 xBA). With batted ball metrics like this, the home runs should begin to fall as he sees some positive regression.Source: ESPN
Cleveland Guardians outfielder Jordan Sprinkle Heading To High-A
Jordan Sprinkle is being promoted to High-A Winston-Salem. Sprinkle has enjoyed an impressive start to the season with Low-A and is being rewarded with an early-season promotion. Through the first 16 games of the Low-A season, Sprinkle held an impressive .420/.547/.460 slash line with two doubles, 20 stolen bases, and a 10:13 K:BB. The UC Santa Barbara product received a taste of High-A last summer but was unable to hold his own. During his first look at this level, the infielder posted a modest .207/.296/.279 slash line. However, he did show similar speed upside as he swiped 27 bags over this 92-game stint. Fantasy managers should monitor his progression during his next stint at High-A, as he could be in line to take the next step, given his strong start to the 2025 season.Source: Chase Ford
Chicago White Sox infield prospect Braden Montgomery Promoted To High-A
Braden Montgomery is being promoted to High-A Winston-Salem. The White Sox selected Montgomery with the 12th pick in last year's draft, and he is already progressing through the White Sox system fairly quickly. The Texas A&M product opened the 2025 season with Low-A Kannapolis and needed just 18 games to prove he was ready for the next level. Across this brief stint, Montgomery held a .304/.393/.493 slash line with four doubles and three home runs. The young outfielder tallied 19 RBI, swiped six bags, and held a 19:10 K:BB. The 22-year-old is currently considered the No. 5-ranked prospect in the system and the No. 52 overall in the sport, according to MLB Pipeline. Fantasy managers should expect Montgomery to contend for a Double-A promotion later this season if he continues this impressive pace with High-A.Source: Chase Ford
Chicago White Sox outfield prospect J.P. Crawford Launches Second Homer
J.P. Crawford went 2-for-3 with a home run in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Miami Marlins. He added two RBI, two runs scored, one walk, and one strikeout. The veteran connected on a two-run blast in the bottom of the fifth inning -- his second of the season -- off Miami reliever Ronny Henriquez that would put Seattle up 7-2 and prove the winning run as the Marlins mounted a late comeback. Crawford has been much better this season than he was in an abysmal 2024. He's not hitting for much power, and that includes extra-base hits (two doubles), but the average is there, and he's getting on base at a robust clip (.412 OBP). While his spot in the lineup is a detriment to his counting stats, he should still be a nice help, average-wise. Crawford is riding a seven-game hit streak with four multi-hit outings during the stretch.Source: ESPN
Seattle Mariners shortstop Chayce McDermott Struggles In First Rehab Start
Chayce McDermott (lat) struggled in his first rehab start with Double-A Chesapeake on Sunday. In this outing, the right-hander logged just 1 2/3 innings of work. He allowed one hit and one run but served up three free passes. He struck out three batters as well. McDermott has been sidelined with a lat strain he suffered early in spring training. Fantasy managers should expect the No. 4-ranked prospect in the system to continue to slowly increase his workload over the next few weeks. When he does officially return from the injured list, fantasy managers should expect the right-hander to open his 2025 campaign with Triple-A Norfolk. However, he could be in the mix for an early return to the majors. Last season during his first look in the big leagues, he logged four innings to the tune of a 6.75 ERA. For now, he should not be stashed in any redraft formats.Source: MiLB.com
Baltimore Orioles pitching prospect Anthony Volpe Picks Up Two More Knocks In Nightcap
Anthony Volpe went 2-for-4 with two singles in his team's 5-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. The Yanks and Blue Jays were part of a doubleheader on Sunday, and the 24-year-old picked up two hits in each, though all of his damage came in the first game. Volpe was excellent in the early outing, jacking his fifth homer of 2025, while adding a double, two RBI, two runs scored, and a walk. He was also caught stealing in the second game. After the four knocks, he's still batting an underwhelming .228 on the season, though his batted ball metrics look better than they did in 2024. The New Jersey native is sporting a modest boost to his average exit velocity and has already recorded the hardest-hit ball of his career (110.5 MPH). He's also upped his walk rate from a year ago into the double-digits (11.1%).Source: ESPN

Wade Miley Exits Rehab Outing On Sunday
Wade Miley (elbow) exited his rehab outing on Sunday with an undisclosed injury. The southpaw was only able to tally two outs before exiting the contest. Before leaving, Miley allowed one hit and a run and did not tally a strikeout. In his first rehab outing with High-A Dayton, Miley struggled as he allowed nine hits and six runs across two 1/3 innings of work. The veteran pitcher is slowly working his way back from a UCL surgery on his left elbow. Last summer, Miley logged just seven innings of work to the tune of a 6.43 ERA with a 1.43 WHIP. During the 2023 campaign, the southpaw held a strong 3.14 ERA with a 1.14 WHIP across 120 1/3 innings of work. When eventually cleared to return, Miley should be in the mix for a depth role in the Cincinnati rotation.Source: WDTN.com
Cincinnati Reds left-handed pitcher Yordan Alvarez Smacks Third Home Run
Yordan Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a home run and a double in his team's 7-3 win over the Kansas City Royals on Sunday. The 27-year-old drove in three runs while scoring and walking once in the contest. Alvarez victimized Royals starting pitcher Kris Bubic in the top of the third inning with a 436-foot blast that he deposited over the right-center field wall at 110.6 MPH to score the Astros' first runs of the day. His double was also struck well, leaving the bat at a scorching 109.1. It hasn't been the best start for the lefty slugger, as he holds an underwhelming .213 average (19-for-89) through his first 26 outings. However, he may be coming around as he's displayed a better eye at the plate over the last ten days.Source: ESPN
Houston Astros designated hitter Roman Anthony Dealing With Foot Injury
Roman Anthony (foot) is dealing with a minor foot injury. The top prospect fouled a ball off his foot on Friday and was held out of action over the weekend. However, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic noted that the team does not anticipate him hitting the injured list. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status as he is viewed as one of the top prospects in the sport. Through the early part of the Triple-A campaign, the 20-year-old has enjoyed an impressive start to the season. Through his first 23 games, Anthony has posted a stellar .313/.451/.588 slash line with five doubles, five home runs, and two stolen bases. If Anthony can return to the lineup this week, he should still be in the mix for an early MLB debut this summer.Source: Jen McCaffrey
Boston Red Sox outfield prospect Andrew McCutchen Picks Up Four Hits In Loss
Andrew McCutchen went 4-for-4 with a home run in Sunday's 9-2 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. It was his third homer of the season, and the veteran added three singles for his fourth multi-hit performance of the year. McCutchen has been hitting well in recent days, notching at least one hit in six of seven games with four extra-base hits (two doubles, two home runs) during the stretch. The 38-year-old is having a bit of a resurgent season thus far, slashing .276/.368/.447, with increased quality of contact and a palatable 17.2% strikeout rate after a career-high in that statistic a season ago (25.8%). Moreover, McCutchen is registering a hard-hit ball 49.2% of the time with an average exit velocity of 91.2 MPH. Both figures would be career-bests if they hold.Source: ESPN
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Slade Cecconi Throws Bullpen On Sunday
Slade Cecconi (oblique) threw a bullpen session on Sunday. Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt noted that the 25-year-old "looked really good." This is an excellent sign for Cecconi as he has yet to make his 2025 season debut. Cecconi is working his way back from a left oblique strain he suffered in March. Last summer, the Miami product logged 77 innings to the tune of a 6.66 ERA with a 1.42 WHIP. He appeared in 20 games and was given the starting nod in 13 of them. Under the hood, Cecconi generated a modest 4.52 xERA with a .256 xBA, which placed him in the 24th and 25th percentile, respectively. Fantasy managers should expect Cecconi to embark on a rehab assignment if he continues to progress well. When cleared to return, he will likely make his season debut out of the bullpen.Source: Cleveland Guardians
Cleveland Guardians right-handed pitcher Geraldo Perdomo Homers, Swipes Two Bags
Geraldo Perdomo went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Atlanta Braves. The 24-year-old added two steals and scored twice in the outing. Perdomo's batting average has dropped a bit from his blistering start earlier in the month, but he's still been impactful, registering four home runs, four doubles, 21 RBI, 15 runs scored, and six steals. His current home run total is one more than he blasted in 2024, but in far fewer at-bats. He's also vastly improved his plate discipline, walking a robust 16.5% of the time with a strikeout rate in the 96th percentile (9.4%). Perdomo has seen his hard-hit percentage jump by eight points (33.3%) from a season ago.Source: ESPN
