Baltimore Orioles third baseman Jordan Westburg (ankle) is out of the starting lineup for Tuesday's game in Boston against the division-rival Red Sox at Fenway Park. Luis Vazquez will start at third base and bat eighth against Red Sox right-hander Walker Buehler. Westburg will take a seat in Game 2 of the series after leaving Monday's series opener early due to discomfort in his right ankle. With an off day coming on Wednesday, it's possible the 26-year-old third baseman could be ready to return for Thursday's series opener against the Houston Astros. Westburg has had an injury-plagued 2025 campaign, so hopefully this is an injury that won't require another stint on the injured list. After his first All-Star campaign in 2024, Westburg has slashed .276/.326/.473 with a career-high .799 OPS, 15 home runs, 34 RBI and 53 runs in 73 games. He's four homers away from setting a new career-high.--Keith HernandezSource: MLB.com

Atlanta Braves infield prospect Cody Miller has been promoted to High-A Rome after spending just 10 games at Single-A Augusta. The Braves' 2025 third-round draft pick went 16-for-43 (.372) with two doubles, a home run, 11 RBI, eight runs scored, and four steals during his short stint with the GreenJackets. The 21-year-old is coming off an 18-homer, 27-steal campaign in 58 games at Eastern Tennessee prior to being drafted. While he's not in the Braves' top 30 prospects yet, the quick promotion bodes well for his chances to start climbing the ranks next season.--Jarod RuppSource: MiLB.com

New York Mets outfield prospect Carson Benge (hand) was placed on the 7-day injured list on August 16, a day after getting hit in the hand by a pitch during a game at Triple-A Syracuse. The Mets' top-ranked prospect earned a promotion to Syracuse after slashing .308/.413/.513 with 12 home runs and 19 steals in 92 games between High-A and Double-A. The 2024 first-rounder was playing in just his fourth game at Triple-A when the injury occurred, and likely puts an MLB debut on ice until 2026. The 22-year-old offers solid hit, power, and run tools, so he is a prospect worth stashing in dynasty formats.--Jarod RuppSource: MLB.com

Milwaukee Brewers second base prospect Josh Adamczewski has earned a promotion to High-A Wisconsin after posting stellar numbers at Single-A Carolina. The Brewers' 13th-ranked prospect slashed .355/.455/.558 with five home runs and four steals for the Mudcats, although he played in just 46 games after missing two months with a back injury. The former 15th-round draft pick will get a chance to test his mettle at the next level, bringing with him a better-than-average career strikeout rate in the minors of 18.7 percent, along with a strong 15.9 percent walk rate. The 20-year-old is still a ways away from the majors, though, so for now he's just a player to keep an eye on in dynasty.--Jarod RuppSource: MiLB Central

Kansas City Royals pitching prospect Ben Kudrna has been promoted to Triple-A Omaha after making 20 appearances (19 starts) at Double-A Nashville this season. The Royals' seventh-ranked prospect posted a 4.21 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and a 15.7 percent K-BB% with the Sounds, but had pitched much better as of late. The former second-rounder recorded a 1.71 ERA, a 0.85 WHIP, and a 17.4 percent K-BB% over his last six starts (31 2/3 innings pitched). The 6-foot-3 righty doesn't have eye-popping strikeout numbers like so many starters these days, but he showed improved command this season. He'll look to carry that momentum to Triple-A, then hopefully on into an MLB debut next year, although he's not necessarily a stash candidate in dynasty leagues.--Jarod RuppSource: MiLB Central

Miami Marlins infielder Graham Pauley (oblique), who landed on the 10-day injured list on Monday (retroactive to Aug. 17) with a Grade 1 right-oblique strain, is expected to be out for four weeks, per MLB.com. It means that Pauley is unlikely to return to the major leagues until the middle of September in the final month of the regular season. Connor Norby (wrist) is nearing a return from his injured list stint, but until he's back, fantasy managers should expect Javier Sanoja to see most of the playing time at the hot corner in South Beach. The 24-year-old Pauley was seeing regular time at the hot corner with Norby sidelined and had hit .273 since the All-Star break. However, Pauley has a slash line of .229/.310/.371 on the season with four home runs, 11 RBI, 15 runs and two steals in 54 games played in his first year in Miami.--Keith HernandezSource: MLB.com

Minnesota Twins shortstop prospect Marek Houston has been promoted to High-A Cedar Rapids after a short but productive stint at Single-A Fort Myers. The Twins' 2025 first-round draft pick went 20-for-54 (.370) with nine RBI, 10 runs scored, and six steals in just 12 games for the Mighty Mussels. The Twins' eighth-ranked prospect was the 16th overall selection in this year's Draft, and is coming off a season at Wake Forest where he hit .354 with 15 home runs and 19 stolen bases while walking (46) just as much as he struck out (46). A quick promotion like that shows the confidence the team has in his abilities, so dynasty managers should keep a close eye on the 6-foot-3 slugger in the event he moves fast through the system.--Jarod RuppSource: MiLB Central

The New York Yankees announced on Tuesday that they reinstated infielder/outfielder Amed Rosario (collarbone) from the 10-day injured list before their series opener against the division-rival Tampa Bay Rays. Rosario will return to the Yanks after missing the minimum time on the IL with an SC joint sprain in his collarbone. The Yankees have not yet released their starting lineup for Tuesday's tilt against the Rays in Tampa, but the 29-year-old Rosario will likely be on the bench to start. With all of the team's infielders currently healthy, Rosario figures to be a bench option for the Bombers moving forward, giving him very little fantasy value, even in the deepest of leagues. The Dominican utilityman has appeared in only four games since being acquired from the Washington Nationals and has gone 3-for-7 with a double, RBI and a strikeout.--Keith HernandezSource: New York Yankees

The Milwaukee Brewers announced on Tuesday that they sent first baseman Rhys Hoskins (thumb) on a minor-league rehab assignment to Triple-A Nashville. Hoskins is attempting to return from a Grade 2 left-thumb sprain and could rejoin the big-league roster as soon as this weekend if he avoids setbacks in the minors this week. However, the 32-year-old veteran has been sidelined since July 7, so it's also possible the Brew Crew want Hoskins to go on a little bit longer of a rehab assignment. Andrew Vaughn has been a nice under-the-radar pickup for Milwaukee and has been thriving with his change of scenery, so it's possible that Hoskins is involved in more of a platoon at first base when he's back with the Brewers. In his second year with the team, Hoskins was hitting .242 (65-for-269) with 12 homers, 42 RBI and 30 runs in 82 games before his injury.--Keith HernandezSource: Milwaukee Brewers

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio (hamstring) is completing baserunning, hitting and defensive work without issues and will start a minor-league rehab assignment on Friday with Triple-A Nashville, according to Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Chourio has missed the last few weeks with a right-hamstring strain, but it's possible he'll come off the 10-day injured list early next week if he's able to avoid any setbacks with the Sounds this weekend. The 21-year-old has been out since late July. Chourio is one of the best young power/speed threats in the outfield in baseball and will give the red-hot, first-place Brewers a big boost when he returns. He was hitting .276/.311/.474 with 17 homers, 67 RBI, 71 runs and 18 steals in 445 at-bats before his injury. Blake Perkins and Brandon Lockridge will split center-field duties until Chourio returns.--Keith HernandezSource: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel - Todd Rosiak

St. Louis Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado (shoulder) will rejoin the club in Miami on Tuesday, but he's not ready to come off the 10-day injured list. Arenado, who has been rehabbing from a right-shoulder strain at the Cardinals' spring training complex in Florida, is set to meet with team doctors to get a clearer picture of his recovery timeline. The eight-time All-Star went on the IL on Aug. 1 after slumping to a .235/.294/.366 line with 10 homers, 43 RBI, and 43 runs scored in 394 plate appearances. Arenado ranks in the league's 15th percentile or worse in hard-hit rate, average exit velocity, and xwOBA, which doesn't provide much hope for a turnaround if he does come back this year.--Connor ByrneSource: Daniel Guerrero - St. Louis Post-Dispatch

The Cleveland Guardians will promote left-handed pitching prospect Parker Messick from Triple-A Columbus to make his debut Wednesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks, according to Guardians Prospective. A second-round pick from Florida State in 2022, Messick has held his own during his first Triple-A action this season. Across 20 starts and 98 2/3 innings, the 24-year-old has posted a 3.47 ERA with a 1.22 WHIP, 119 strikeouts, and 42 walks. MLB Pipeline ranks Messick 12th among Guardians prospects and notes that he has "a high floor as at least a back-of-the-rotation starter." With Cleveland having optioned lefty Joey Cantillo on Sunday, Messick could have a shot at sticking in the rotation if he pitches well against the Diamondbacks.--Connor ByrneSource: Guardians Prospective

Cincinnati Reds left-hander Wade Miley (forearm) is weighing his next move after visiting Dr. Timothy Kremchek on Monday. Miley, who was pulled off his rehab assignment after feeling soreness in his first Double-A outing last Friday, has been on the 15-day injured list since June 17 because of a flexor strain. It's unclear whether Miley's recent setback will lead to surgery, but manager Terry Francona said the Reds will "support whatever he does." The 38-year-old has made just three appearances (two starts) with Cincinnati this season and logged a 6.75 ERA with a 1.75 WHIP and 7:6 K:BB in 12 innings. It appears unlikely that he'll return in 2025.--Connor ByrneSource: MLB.com
