Jordan Westburg Out on Tuesday
Jordan Westburg (ankle) is out of the starting lineup for Tuesday's game in Boston against the division-rival Red Sox at Fenway Park. Luis Vazquez will start at third base and bat eighth against Red Sox right-hander Walker Buehler. Westburg will take a seat in Game 2 of the series after leaving Monday's series opener early due to discomfort in his right ankle. With an off day coming on Wednesday, it's possible the 26-year-old third baseman could be ready to return for Thursday's series opener against the Houston Astros. Westburg has had an injury-plagued 2025 campaign, so hopefully this is an injury that won't require another stint on the injured list. After his first All-Star campaign in 2024, Westburg has slashed .276/.326/.473 with a career-high .799 OPS, 15 home runs, 34 RBI and 53 runs in 73 games. He's four homers away from setting a new career-high.
