Carson Benge Hits Triple-A Injured List
Carson Benge (hand) was placed on the 7-day injured list on August 16, a day after getting hit in the hand by a pitch during a game at Triple-A Syracuse. The Mets' top-ranked prospect earned a promotion to Syracuse after slashing .308/.413/.513 with 12 home runs and 19 steals in 92 games between High-A and Double-A. The 2024 first-rounder was playing in just his fourth game at Triple-A when the injury occurred, and likely puts an MLB debut on ice until 2026. The 22-year-old offers solid hit, power, and run tools, so he is a prospect worth stashing in dynasty formats.
