No Limitations For Byron Buxton At Camp
2 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (knee) is in good shape and isn't limited at all in spring training, according to the team. Buxton had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee five months ago. It's great news that he's not facing any limitations this spring, but the Twins plan to be conservative with him in the early portion of camp. The Twins will treat infielder Jorge Polanco the same after he spent most of the offseason rehabbing from right knee tendinitis. The 29-year-old Buxton is the more attractive fantasy asset because of his power/speed combination, but injuries just don't seem to be going away for him. He played in only 92 games in 2022 and hit .224 while striking out 30 percent of the team, but he also hit a career-high 28 home runs and stole six bases. If Buxton can ever stay healthy for a full season -- his career-high in games played was 140 in 2017 -- he'd be an absolute fantasy beast.
