Nathan Eovaldi Picks Up Fourth Postseason Win
1 year agoTexas Rangers right-hander Nathan Eovaldi remained perfect in this year's postseason by picking up his fourth win over the division-rival Houston Astros on Sunday night in the 9-2 triumph in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series. Eovaldi allowed two earned runs on five hits while walking three and striking out four in 6 1/3 innings of work. The 33-year-old veteran hurler was strong all regular season in his first year in Texas and has been even better in the playoffs, allowing only seven earned runs on 21 hits (two home runs) while walking only four and striking out 28 in 26 innings over his four starts. He'll be hoping the Rangers can win their fourth road game of the ALCS on Monday night in Game 7 to advance to the World Series.
