Mookie Betts Resting On Tuesday
Mookie Betts is not in the team's starting lineup for Tuesday's contest in Miami against the hosting Marlins. Veteran Miguel Rojas will start at short and bat seventh against Marlins right-hander Cal Quantrill. This will be Betts' first game on the bench since March 29 after he was still building up his strength that caused him to miss the club's two-game season-opening series in Tokyo, Japan, against the Chicago Cubs. The 32-year-old eight-time All-Star and former MVP cooled off a bit after a hot start, but he's gone 12-for-33 (.364) with a homer, double, triple, 10 RBI and 12 runs scored in his last eight games since April 27. Betts continues to be a must-start in L.A.'s dangerous lineup when he's on the field. Rojas is a low-upside DFS play at shortstop and is hitting .400 in just five career at-bats against Quantrill.
