Los Angeles Chargers left tackle Joe Alt (ankle) has been downgraded to out for the remainder of Sunday's Week 4 contest against the New York Giants. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the team believes that Alt suffered a high-ankle sprain, but additional testing will be conducted to confirm his diagnosis. The former first-round pick has been a staple of the Chargers' offensive line. He had played every snap of the 2025 season prior to Sunday's injury, and he also played 100 percent of the snaps in 16 different games as a rookie last year. Austin Deculus will be tasked with protecting Justin Herbert's blindside for the duration of Alt's absence.--Andersen Pickard
