Matt Chapman Resumes Swinging
Matt Chapman (hand) has shed his splint and resumed taking one-handed swings in the batting cage. Chapman was placed on the 10-day injured list on June 10 after spraining ligaments in his hand, and continues to progress well from the ailment. It's the next step for the veteran, as he aims to rejoin the big-league squad sometime before the All-Star break, and should do so barring any setbacks. Despite the addition of fellow hot-corner occupant Rafael Devers, the 32-year-old should return to his spot at third base, as Devers has started at DH in each appearance since his arrival.
