Matt Breida Not A Lock For Week 9
4 years agoMiami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores isn't ruling out running back Matt Breida (hamstring) for Week 9 against the Cardinals, but he noted that "hamstrings are tough." The Dolphins could be planning to be without Breida after just losing Myles Gaskin (knee) for at least the next three weeks. Those that picked up Breida off the waiver wire hoping that he'd be the lead back with Gaskin sidelined might have to rethink their plans for this weekend. If Breida can't go, it would be Jordan Howard and Patrick Laird and possibly Salvon Ahmed splitting touches in the backfield. DeAndre Washington was recently acquired in a trade, but he must first pass through COVID-19 protocols. Howard would become a touchdown-dependent flex option for RB-needy fantasy managers. Howard has been a healthy scratch since Week 4.
