Kyle Finnegan Picks Up Win on Sunday
Kyle Finnegan (1-2) earned his first win of the season in a 7-4 defeat of the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday. Finnegan, who hadn't made an appearance since Wednesday, threw three innings of scoreless, hitless ball with two strikeouts and two walks. He entered in the ninth inning and wound up slamming the door on the Angels in the 11th after Washington took a three-run lead. Finnegan tossed 30 pitches in his second-longest outing of the season and lowered his ERA to 2.61 across 31 frames. The 33-year-old also boasts a 1.16 WHIP with 25:10 K:BB and 18 saves in 23 chances.
