Keelan Cole Sr. Added To Jets Receiving Group
4 years agoFormer Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Keelan Cole Sr. signed a one-year, $5.5 million deal with the New York Jets on Thursday, according to a source. Cole drew a ton of interest on the open market before signing. In 16 games (five starts) with the Jaguars in 2020, Cole caught 55 passes on 88 targets for 642 yards and a career-high five touchdowns. He had a career-high 748 receiving yards in his rookie season in 2017, but his 55 catches and five touchdowns were both career-highs last year. With Corey Davis also heading to the Jets in free agency, Cole won't be guaranteed regular playing time and will have to compete for a spot behind Denzel Mims and Jamison Crowder with the likes of Vyncint Smith and Braxton Berrios.
