Josh Jacobs Continues To Be Limited
3 years agoLas Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (ankle) put in a limited practice on Wednesday after returning in the Monday night loss to the Los Angeles Chargers after missing the previous two games. Peyton Barber suffered a turf-toe injury on Monday, so it was just Jacobs and Kenyan Drake splitting the backfield touches. Jacobs played 63 percent of the offensive snaps and saw 18 touches for 57 total scrimmage yards. It was nice to see the 23-year-old garner five targets, but probably isn't sustainable with Drake around to handle most of the passing-game work. Barber could miss some time with his injury, which would be good news for Jacobs, but Jacobs is averaging just 3.2 yards per carry in two games and has become a touchdown-dependent RB2 so far in 2021.
