Jose Ramirez Ejected After Melee With White Sox
1 year agoCleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez had quite an eventful game against the Chicago White Sox on Saturday in a 7-4 loss. Ramirez went 1-for-3 in the contest with a double and an RBI, and he was also ejected from the contest after a fight with White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson after he slid into second base in the seventh inning. The 30-year-old threw a right hook that connected with Anderson's jaw, dropping him. MLB is reviewing the incident and will most certainly hand down a suspension to Ramirez, so fantasy managers should expect him to miss some games in the near future. Saturday's incident aside, J-Ram remains a must-start when he's active. He's now hitting .289/.360/.501 with an .861 OPS, 18 homers, 65 RBI, 14 stolen bases and 67 runs scored in 419 at-bats in 2023.
