Jordan Reed To Play Against Packers
4 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers plan to activate tight end Jordan Reed (knee) off Injured Reserve so that he can play against the Packers on Thursday night, according to a source. Reed went down with a knee sprain in Week 3 and has been on IR ever since. He did catch seven of eight targets for 50 yards and two touchdowns in Week 2 against the Jets when George Kittle was injured, and the veteran tight end will have another opportunity to put up fantasy relevant numbers as an upside TE2 with Kittle likely out for the rest of the season with a broken foot. Green Bay has been pretty good against tight ends this year, though, and Reed and Ross Dwelley could split tight end duties on Thursday night, making them both risky tight end plays in Week 9 for fantasy managers.
