Jeremy Chinn Out For Panthers Defense
4 years agoCarolina Panthers rookie safety Jeremy Chinn (knee) has been ruled out for Week 9 against the Chiefs. Left tackle Russell Okung (calf) is also out this Sunday. Chinn, a second-round pick out of Southern Illinois, has been a weekly IDP starter at the defensive back position in his first year in the NFL. The 22-year-old has stood out in Carolina's young and inexperienced secondary, recording 67 tackles (38 solo), two QB hits, one interception and five passes defensed. Against the high-flying offense of the Chiefs, losing Chinn is bad news. You'll definitely want to avoid the Panthers Defense for this matchup. The absence of Okung is also a downgrade for quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.
