Jacob Wilson Back for A's on Thursday
Jacob Wilson (forearm) is back at the 6 and is hitting second for Thursday's series finale against the division-rival Los Angeles Angels and left-hander Tyler Anderson as they look to avoid a four-game sweep in Sacramento. Wilson was pulled from Tuesday's loss against the Angels after being hit by a pitch on his left forearm. The impressive 23-year-old was held out on Wednesday, but he has now returned and should be put back in starting fantasy lineups. The former sixth overall pick in 2023 out of Grand Canyon University has not looked like a rookie in 2025, slashing .341/.381/.478 with an .859 OPS, five home runs, 26 RBI, 26 runs scored and four stolen bases in his first 47 games this year. Wilson's .341 average ranks third in all of baseball, and he's hitting .367 (11-for-30) against southpaws in 2025.
