2 years agoCleveland Guardians general manager Chris Antonetti said that starting pitcher Shane Bieber will not be traded and will be a part of the team in 2023, as expected. The Guardians are trying to add a catcher and another bat this offseason, with A's catcher Sean Murphy and Blue Jays backstop Alejandro Kirk being potential trade options. Bieber remains Cleveland's ace after going 13-8 with a 2.88 ERA (2.87 FIP), a 1.04 WHIP, 198 strikeouts and 36 walks in 200 innings over 31 starts in 2022. The two-right All-Star won the American League Cy Young award in the shortened 2020 season when he had a 1.63 ERA and 122 strikeouts, and he'll remain a strong fantasy ace yet again in 2023.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
