The New Orleans Saints signed free-agent offensive guard Forrest Lamp to their practice squad on Tuesday, according to a source. Lamp is only 27 years old, is a former high second-round pick and started all 16 games last year for the Los Angeles Chargers, so there remains plenty of upside here. He's also fully recovered after suffering a calf injury at the beginning of training camp and the preseason with the Buffalo Bills. At 6-foot-4, 310 pounds, Lamp can play either guard spot and has shown solid technique as a pass and run-blocker. The key will be staying healthy, but he'll provide quality depth for the Saints offensive line. They've been without left tackle Terron Armstead and center Erik McCoy in recent weeks.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
