3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers rookie running back Elijah Mitchell (ribs) is wearing a blue no-contact jersey and it looks like he'll be involved in practice on Thursday after sitting out Wednesday's session. It's a good sign for Mitchell's availability this weekend against the Arizona Cardinals. Barring a setback in practice Thursday or Friday, we expect him to play and continue serving as the team's primary running back. Even with JaMycal Hasty returning prior to Week 8, Mitchell has taken a firm hold on this backfield and has become a high-end RB2 entering this Sunday's divisional showdown with Arizona, a team coming off their first loss of the season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
