4 years agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees (shoulder) downplayed his presence on the Week 9 injury report on Wednesday, but he remained limited in practice on Thursday. Brees was working on the side with no pads on during the early portion of practice open to the media. It's rare for the veteran to be limited this late in the week, and it's unclear if it will affect his availability for Sunday night against the Buccaneers. Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill are both candidates to replace Brees if he can't play. His practice status on Friday will give us a clearer picture. The 41-year-old threw for only 160 yards and two touchdowns in Week 1 against Tampa, and he'll be a QB2 in his second meeting with the division-rival Bucs.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
