Dodgers Agree To Acquire Mookie Betts, David Price
5 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to a deal with the Boston Red Sox that would send All-Star outfielder Mookie Betts and starting pitcher David Price to the Dodgers, according to sources familiar with the deal. The deal is pending medical reviews and could involve a third team. Significant money will be going the way of wherever Price ends up, but Betts should be with the Dodgers. This is as big as blockbuster trades get, but stay tuned for the other team involved and the other players in the swap. Alex Verdugo is expected to be headed to Boston from the Dodgers, but there will likely be more pieces involved. Betts, the 2018 American League MVP, could put the Dodgers over the hump in their quest for a World Series title, and Price, if he stays in LA, could be a nice bounce-back candidate in a pitcher-friendly park.
