DJ LeMahieu Day-To-Day With Quad Tightness
2 years agoNew York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu (quadriceps) is dealing with quadriceps tightness and is day-to-day right now, according to manager Aaron Boone. As a result, LeMahieu is out of the lineup on Wednesday against the Cleveland Guardians. It doesn't sound like a serious injury, so the 34-year-old could be back soon for the Yanks and fantasy managers. The usual leadoff hitter for the team, he's currently hitting .263 (10-for-38) with four doubles, a triple, a home run, three RBI and eight runs scored in the first 10 games of 2023. Isiah Kiner-Falefa is starting at third and batting seventh on Wednesday against Guardians right-hander Peyton Battenfield, while rookie shortstop Anthony Volpe jumps up to the leadoff spot.
