3 years agoChicago Bears running back David Montgomery's training camp is off to a great start. Several reports have remarked that the third-year back looks a step quicker and his focus to take his game to the next level has been evident. General manager Ryan Pace took the time to compliment Montgomery's camp specifically, telling The Athletic, "He looks faster," he said. "I know he worked on it a lot this summer. I know I keep saying it, but he's obsessed. He's got a chip on his shoulder. He's really locked in and focused right now. He worked his butt off all summer, and I think it's evident in the early days of (camp)." Montgomery was a surefire RB1 in the final five weeks of last season but will need consistent touches in the Bears offense to solidify that status in 2021.--Joey C - RotoBaller
