Dalvin Cook Misses Another Practice
3 years agoMinnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook (ankle) missed his second straight practice on Thursday. Cook said on Wednesday that he isn't likely to be 100 percent, but he plans to play through his sprained right ankle again in Week 5 against the division-rival Detroit Lions. After missing Week 3, Cook had just nine carries for 34 yards while also catching two of six targets for just 10 yards in the Week 4 loss to the Cleveland Browns. He played 49.3 percent of the offensive snaps, with backup Alexander Mattison playing 34.3 percent of the snaps. Mattison saw one more carry than Cook in the game, but neither RB was effective. The good news is that if Cook plays, he'll be primed for a bounce-back game, barring an aggravation of his ankle, against a Lions defense that's allowing the most fantasy points per game to RBs through four weeks.
