The 31-year-old has been cleared to have his progression sped up as he is now physically able to rotate his body. If he can successfully swing a bat, his next step would be to participate in a live batting practice session, which could then lead to a return before the end of the season. The team has targeted the Rangers' final homestand, which begins on September 19, as a potential goal to see him back in the lineup.
