3 years agoChicago Bears backup quarterback Nick Foles currently is the team's third string quarterback behind Andy Dalton and Justin Fields. But for how long? Just two days after Chicago Bears coach Matt Nagy spoke about the trade value in having a third-string quarterback with a Super Bowl ring like Foles, there suddenly is a need for help at the position with the Indianapolis Colts, who've lost starter Carson Wentz to a foot injury. "Listen, Frank Reich is one of my favorite, if not my favorite, coaches of all time. He understands me as a player," Foles told reporters. "He understands me as a person. But you know, I haven't had any talks with them. I'm a Chicago Bear right now." Simply put, Foles on the Bears roster right now is a luxury. The veteran struggled mightily behind a poor offensive line last season for the Bears but could immediately slide in as starter for the Colts.
