4 years agoThe Carolina Panthers officially activated running back Christian McCaffrey (ankle) and defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos (ankle) from Injured Reserve to the 53-man roster on Saturday. Both players will be active in Week 9 against the Chiefs. McCaffrey suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 2 and has been out since. Mike Davis did a nice job filling in with the All-Pro running back out, but he'll revert to a backup role and won't have any standalone fantasy value. We won't know if Carolina plans to limit McCaffrey at all until the game unfolds, but the do-it-all back should immediately return to being a top-five fantasy running back in a game that could feature plenty of points.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
