Chase Edmonds Absent From Practice Thursday
3 years agoArizona Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds (shoulder) was absent from practice on Thursday for the second straight day. Edmonds might need to get in a limited practice on Friday to have any shot at suiting up in Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers. Backup James Conner returned to practice on Thursday after missing Wednesday due to a personal issue. On the season, Edmonds has played 63.6 percent of the offensive snaps compared to 42.2 percent for Conner. However, Conner leads with 53 carries for 172 yards and all four rushing touchdowns, while Edmonds leads with his 255 rushing yards on 43 carries. Edmonds sets himself apart in IDP leagues with 20 catches for 140 yards. Conner has only three catches for 26 yards. If Edmonds were to miss Sunday's game, Conner would be a must-start RB2 option, while Jonathan Ward and Eno Benjamin would back him up.
