Casey Schmitt Scratched on Sunday
Casey Schmitt (wrist) has been scratched from the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Chicago White Sox. Schmitt will now miss his fourth straight game due to wrist contusion. Giants manager Bob Melvin told reporters that Schmitt will undergo an MRI on Monday. Schmitt continues to deal with pain in his wrist from getting hit by a pitch earlier in the week. It's possible he lands on the injured list, but for now fantasy managers can consider him as day-to-day. Wilmer Flores will take over at first base and bat third versus right-hander Jonathan Cannon. UPDATE: Schmitt will likely undergo an MRI exam in Arizona this week.
