The Chicago Cubs designated outfielder Carlos Gonzalez for assignment on Saturday. If he clears waivers, the Cubs would like for him to go to the minors. CarGo was even worse in Chicago than he was in his brief time in Cleveland, hitting .175/.306/.300 with a homer and three RBI in just 15 games. He's a combined .200/.289/.283 on the year with three homers and 10 RBI in 45 games and might not make it back to the big leagues at this point in Chicago or with another team. There's no need to keep him rostered, even in the deepest of leagues.--Keith Hernandez
