Cameron Brate Lands On Injury Report Thursday
4 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate (back) landed on the injury report on Thursday after being a limited participant in practice due to a back injury. Mid-week injuries are usually never promising, but the fact that Brate was able to practice at all might mean that he will still be able to play in Super Bowl LV against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. The 29-year-old's practice status on Friday will give us a better read. Brate has been overshadowed by Rob Gronkowski in Tampa, but he's been crucial in the postseason, catching 11 of his 16 targets for 149 yards and a touchdown in three playoff games this year. Gronkowski will be more attractive against Kansas City in the big game as a touchdown-dependent tight end if Brate is forced to sit or has his snaps limited.
