C.J. Stroud Remains in the Concussion Protocol
Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said on Monday that quarterback C.J. Stroud (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol, according to Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle. Stroud suffered a concussion early in the Week 9 loss to the Denver Broncos and wasn't cleared to play in the Week 10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 24-year-old still has time to work his way through he concussion protocol, but he's not guaranteed to return this week when the team has another divisional game against the Tennessee Titans. The Texans could lean toward holding Stroud another week, too, after backup Davis Mills nearly threw for 300 yards in an impressive comeback win on Sunday. We'll have a better idea of Stroud's Week 11 status once the Texans release their first injury report of the week on Wednesday.
