Bryson Stott Back in Action Versus Marlins
Bryson Stott (elbow) is back at the keystone and is hitting sixth against the division-rival Miami Marlins and right-hander Cal Quantrill on Tuesday. Stott is back in the lineup a day after suffering a hyperextended elbow in the win over Miami on Monday. Outside of some speed (11 stolen bases), the 27-year-old hasn't done a whole lot for fantasy managers, and he's also been struggling so far in the month of June. He hasn't had a multi-hit this month and is batting .146 (7-for-48) with no homers, three RBI and eight strikeouts in 14 games played. Stott is slashing just .236/.300/.329 with a weak .629 OPS and a .244 xBA. He's in the 72nd percentile in contact rate, but Stott just doesn't square the ball up or hit the ball hard enough to make much of an impact in run production and batted-ball metrics.
