Broncos Explored Trade for Jaylen Waddle
The Denver Broncos were among the teams that explored a trade for Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. But in the end, the Dolphins' asking price was too "steep" for Denver. Miami also received calls on pass-rusher Bradley Chubb, but they decided to hang onto both players at Tuesday's trade deadline. Linebacker Jaelan Phillips was shipped to the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday in exchange for a third-round draft pick next year. Denver ultimately stood pat at the deadline and will move forward in 2025 with receivers Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin, Marvin Mims Jr. (concussion), and rookie Pat Bryant as their top wideouts. The 26-year-old Waddle will probably keep a higher fantasy ceiling the rest of the way this year in Miami as quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's top pass-game target with Tyreek Hill (knee) done for the year. Waddle has had at least 80 receiving yards in four of the last five games and two touchdowns during that span.
